The Global Dell Outlet team is the face of Dell, Inc. in the secondary market. It primarily engages in Remarketing of Dell products that have been returned by customers. It is approximately a $500M business globally and deals with all of Dell’s products, from mobility products to Cloud servers and more. This business also supports the P&L of all the business segments in Dell like EUC and ESG.
Manages Sales Support Functions and implements Exchange Fulfillment & Collections strategies to maximize GDO Inventory utilization across markets, receipts and ensures long-term profitability objectives are met including: process & project management, planning and prioritization, operations strategies, automation, tools and reporting programs. Utilization and resource planning, new business initiatives, key stake holder management internal as well as external, process design and improvement are integral part of the role. Reporting into the Sales Support Director – Global Dell Outlet, this is a highly impactful global role and much is expected from the leader. Added skills appreciated will be Project Management, Process Engineering, Operations Service Delivery, and working in global, complex, and ‘matrix’ organizations. Additional preference would be given for candidates with Global Business experience, and familiarity with Dell (and Dell Outlet) systems and tools, and P&L Management in general.
As a Manager II-GDO GBS-Internal Quality and Order Management, you will be part of an exciting and leading secondary market organization, GDO. This high visibility role will require partnering with number of cross functional areas like Customer Care, Sales, Factory, IT/Reporting, Marketing and Finance. Your role is to provide GDO sales team support by giving visibility to the latest Inventory, product, marketing and pricing information, so the best decisions can be made regarding its disposition and recovery. You will also be required to provide and support frequent business updates to the leadership team.
The role reports to the Director of Global Dell Outlet Global Business Services organization.
Manages team responsible for supporting sales organization through customer
Access business operations from time to time and present results to executives
Accountable for operational and business support.
Responsible for developing sales processes and procedures relating to online/offline order administration, order fulfillment and communication.
Evaluates and implements improvements to sales programs and processes including: presales support, planning and prioritization, sales automation, tools and reporting programs.
Final signoff authority from GDO on Product Introduction Schedule, Product BOM, Product Cost – from a quality standpoint.
Directs the efforts of others in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the group
Monitors ongoing environment to ensure practices do not adversely impact company reputation or customer satisfaction.
Actively assesses and maintains an appropriate and positive Employee Satisfaction level for the group and Customer Satisfaction level relative to the group.
Strong technical, financial and business knowledge utilizing quantitative skills required
Manages the hiring, staffing and maintaining of a diverse and effective workforce.
Responsible for career development/planning, performance and pay discussions of team members.
Graduate degree and 10+ year’s relevant experience
Proficient in MS Office suite, data analysis
Team management and business operations exposure
