We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of “ Consultant Specialist”
Principal responsibilities –
Develop tools and services useful in DevOps environments such as automated deployment/configuration, continuous integration/build servers, performance monitoring, security monitoring and cloud resource creation scripts.
Develop strong technical foundation in enabling agile build, release and environment management.
Study and implement new tools for increased productivity, security, reliability and performance
Help in implementation of container based deployment strategies & micro services deployment patterns
Work with architecture/engineering leads and other teams to ensure quality solutions are implemented and engineering best practices are defined and adhered to.
Take full ownership of time and quality of deliverables
Define & implement optimal service deployment patterns
Define & Automate dev, build and deployment process
Follow Agile methodologies and Devops process throughout the software lifecycle
Ensure HSBC standards are applied throughout to ensure a high quality delivery
Having 5-10 years of relevant experience in DevOps technologies
Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
Experience with automation/configuration management using either Ansible or an equivalent
Experience working with Jenkins, Git/Stash or similar CI / CD platforms
Working knowledge of building and managing CI/CD pipeline with Jenkins is a must
Good experience with tools like Ansible, Maven , Confluence, Jira etc.
Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services. Experience with PCF will be good to have.
Working knowledge of code and scripting eg: Shell or Python etc
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
Working knowledge with Github and branching strategies is a must
Good to have experience with container tools like Docker
Good to have external cloud devops experience
