General Job description:
Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE) are working on the interface between Konecranes and their supplier. SQE are responsible to transfer Konecranes technical and quality requirements to the suppliers and have to take care that suppliers are capable to provide qualified parts only to the different global Konecranes factories. They analyse situation at supplier side with different means like audits and performance evaluation and drive projects to develop the supplier. As Konecranes is a company with a global set up the stakeholders like internal customers are located all over the world. Good communication is one of the basics in this environment.
Bachelor degree or above, major in Electric-Mechanical engineering, and with equivalent work experience of min. 5 years; preferred in Production Planning / Production Engineering
Extensive knowledge and experience in supplier selection, evaluation, and development methodologies
Familiar with quality systems such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949
Familiar with quality tools like Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Familiar with metrology and measuring techniques, Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)
Familiar with Lean tools
High level of proficiency in MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, PPT)
Good communication and language skills (English, verbal and written)
LSS Green Belt or Black Belt (with practical experience) desired
Project management skills
Familiar with policies and good practices in Health, Safety & Environment
Functional & Behavioral Skills:
Experience in handling global stakeholders and running global projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business

Role and Responsibility:
Perform on site audits at suppliers to evaluate fulfilment of Konecranes requirements as basis for supplier development activities
Using the Advanced Production Quality Plan (APQP) tools to assess supplier’s capacity and capability by the prototype from new supplier and current supplier.
Transfer the technical standard to supplier, monitor the supplier’s manufacture procedure which should meet the requirements of Konecranes.
Support QA / IQC, Purchaser and Sourcing to deal with the supplier claim issue, including replacement and compensation
Train Suppliers to effectively execute Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) and Corrective Actions Preventive Actions (CAPA)
Initiate and follow-up Supplier Corrective Actions (SCAR) to ensure complete and effective root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
Ensure all production critical issues are resolved with suppliers in a timely manner, and corrective actions are implemented as appropriate.
Drive improvement projects at supplier (focus on quality and delivery performance, process capability, material flow, implementation of lean methods)
Communicate with internal stakeholders globally
