Product Manager - IPT

Summary

Work with Capital Sales Team in the assigned sales territory and dealers to facilitate achievement of company sales and profit objectives of IPT Capital Business. Manage and train dealers and distributors to sell STERIS IPT Capital products to Healthcare customers within assigned sales territory. Ensures high customer satisfaction and maintains sound relations with dealers through correspondence and/or personal contact. Provides timely reporting of weekly and monthly events. Identifies and specifies opportunities for future STERIS products, markets, and new applications for current products and technology.

Essential Job Functions

1. Help Capital Sales Team achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales budget for assigned sales territory through the management of dealers / distributors in the assigned territories. Manages time, travel, and sales activities to maximize effectiveness on a monthly basis.

2. Prepare the technical compliance & other technical documentation required in the tender. Also helps in preparing the tender specification of the Steris IPT product range. Eventually her/his job responsibility also will be to handle the order booking process with APAC team. He or She will have to either prepare or involve in CSSD, TSSU & Sluice Area layout planning for the projects.

3. Maintain sound dealer relations through timely responses to dealer inquires via accurate and timely communication. Evaluate non-routine complaints from customers and dealers, follow through to determine source of complaint, and take appropriate action to ensure that problems are corrected and do not recur. Work closely with the STERIS dealers / distributors and STERIS management in developing ideas and programs to deal with changing market conditions.

4. Ensure maximum customer support is provided by STERIS distributors within the Territory through overview management of the sales, customer service and field service functions within each market. Work with Field Service to coordinate site installations.

5. Collect the competitor information and market demand trend, working with Key Opinion leader in the industry, participating in the local congress or medical show along with dealers to promote STERIS products and branding.

6. Responsible for timely, accurate reporting of weekly and monthly sales and marketing measurements, to include forecasts.

7. Handle other duties and responsibilities as are periodically assigned or requested.

8. Comply with the spirit and letter of laws, government regulations and company policies.

9. His/her attitude and behavior reinforce company policies and programs by exhibiting and expecting the highest standards of performance and professional conduct. Undertakes and defines a program of self-development.

Working Conditions

Extensive use of telephone, computer, and other office equipment as required. Position also requires extensive travel throughout the Territories. Position is based in Mumbai.

Education Degree
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Mechanical Engineering
Required Experience
Minimum 3 years documented technical sales experience in the Healthcare / biotech / research industry; prior regional related sales experience preferred. Must be able to read, write and speak English & Hindi is necessary. Knowledge of other Indian dialects will be an added advantage.

Position is based in Mumbai. Requires extensive travel throughout the Territories.

Minimum three years documented technical sales experience in the Healthcare / biotech / research industry; prior regional related sales experience preferred. Must be able to read, write and speak English & Hindi is necessary. Knowledge of other Indian dialects will be an added advantage.
