As the Inter-Company Manager, you will manage the corporate shared service accounting function for business units, including leases, payroll and general ledger accounting. What you’ll do on a typical day:
Manage accounting staff as they perform lease, payroll and general accounting transactions
Perform daily, monthly and quarterly reporting
Review balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations to ensure an accurate month-end close and reporting
Manage the abandoned property process for business units
Develop, maintain and continuously improve standard accounting processes and procedures that result in efficient and effective close processes; ensure close deadlines are met
Lead GAAP compliance and process improvement initiatives
Assist Senior Director of Finance with special projects, as needed
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
6 years of experience in public and/or private accounting
It’d be great if you also have:
Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting
Public accounting experience with large clients
Experience with Oracle G/L
Excellent interpersonal and management skills, including working collaboratively in a team environment and getting along with diverse personalities
Experience handling multiple projects and time demands with a high level of urgency, personal integrity, energy and stamina
Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills with the capability to identify and resolve problems
