JOB DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES:
a. Help to create value for the finance organization by designing efficient solutions to drive operational efficiencies, compliance with company policies, and thereby reducing risk of material financial reporting misstatements. b. Defines, documents and monitors a framework of internal controls across all of Abbott’s Internal Control processes within Abbott India entities (including all Offices, Plants, Hubs & CFA’s). c. Act as a cohort between Corporate and local affiliate to align local policy and process with Abbott global policy requirement. File and approve deviation to global policy from Abbott Corporate. d. Design, develop and execute plan for India Internal Audit areas with scope, Local Internal Finance Control (IFC) / US Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) documentation and management Test of Control process. e. Lead and facilitate Corporate Internal Audit process for India affiliate through timely engagement of business process owner including timely remediation of audit finding per agreed timeline. f. Review completed internal control documentation, evaluate testing results, review ratings and conclusions. Review, evaluate and prioritize deficiencies. Communicate expectations for remediation of deficiencies and monitor and manage remediation efforts as appropriate. g. Collaborate with different levels of management and business process owners to ensure sustainable environment of Internal control and best practices are integrated in process. Monitor and advice process owners on action plans for remediation of deficient controls on a timely basis. h. Administration of the quarterly and annual Sarbanes-Oxley certification process. i. Participate in system and project implementations which have Internal Control /SOX implications. j. Support Risk Management process across different entity and business division per requirement under Companies Act, 2013. k. Contribute to the preparation of periodic reporting to key stakeholders such as senior management. l. Identify opportunity to increase efficiency and continuously improve on the existing internal control framework. m. Assist in developing practical approaches and solutions that address internal control compliance challenges and issues. n. Assist to drive change, implement process improvements, and be a valued business partner.
