THE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The core responsibility of this role is the Performance Testing & management of key change initiatives under CSS, with additional responsibilities supporting location management in Bangalore.
As part of the Security Transformation, you will be joining a fast growing and dynamic global team that is currently embarking on a major transformation of its services and capabilities. In this role you will use your previous Performance Test experience and knowledge of proven practices, supporting tools to develop, implement, maintain and continuously enhance overall Performance testing practice for assigned projects or programmes.
Working closely with the Head of Security Technology Test & Quality Assurance, Project Managers, team members and stakeholders, you will get a broad exposure to the breadth of work underway within Security Domain, with the ability to use your skills to make significant enhancements to how assure adequate quality of our security solutions. The core responsibility of the role is to lead the definition, planning and delivering of core changes to ambitious deadlines, project managing and collaborating with a global team to ensure on time and effective delivery.
Governance and People Management:
End to End accountability for the entire Performance Testing mandated by SCB's System Delivery Framework and related testing standards
Ensures full compliance with both internal policies, frameworks, standards and external regulatory requirements applicable for various regions by providing all required performance test testing deliverables in line with Bank’s expected quality
Proactively engages with relevant project teams, stakeholders to deliver a robust performance test strategy and Performance testing processes for systems deployed on-premises or on the cloud, developed using Waterfall or Agile approaches, Major (or) Minor releases. the security domain
Provides overall guidance in all Performance testing-related areas (including Stress Testing, Soak Testing etc.) and activities covering all test phases (e.g. Performance test strategy, Performance requirements gathering, test preparation and execution, test data and environment management, Performance Test Analysis & Reporting as well as post implementation reviews) and testing knowledge areas
Works closely with delivery and project managers to ensure the performance testing activities and deliverables are coherent with overall project documentation
Overall stakeholder management, regular meetings & reporting to project sponsor/s and project managers
Excellent communication and negotiation skills as required to effectively cooperate with project teams and manage stakeholders in various areas of the Bank (end-users, production support, infrastructure delivery and operations) and external Vendors or Professional Service Providers
Manages testing resources per assigned domain, incl. forecasting and assignment, participating in recruitment and onboarding activities
Programme Test Strategy and Execution:
Thoroughly understands project scope, requirements, architecture, dependencies, functional and technical aspects of applications that are subject to Performance testing
Creates and maintains performance test strategy / plans and other required documents that are both compliant with internal framework, standards and adequately reflect project constraints and complexities
Provides accurate and on-time status reporting to project/programme managers and head of testing & QA
Performs systematic independent reviews and assurance reviews across the programme and projects to drive continuous improvement
Addresses risks and problems associated with system performance should they be identified throughout project delivery
Provides expertise and recommendation to tailor Performance testing practice to the specifics of the projects within domain
Becomes fluent with internal testing standards and other relates areas within solution delivery; is aware and tracks industry best practices and emerging new concepts
Identifies and communicates cross project issues/ risks to project/programme manager to jointly ensure projects run smoothly and in a controlled environment
Promotes a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in terms of processes, tools and people
Flexibility and Programme Ambiguity:
Provide Leadership to Performance Test teams in a matrix environment
Anticipate future performance testing needs of the programme based on the defined programme vision
Effectively cooperates with both local and remote teams in a diverse cultural environment
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
More than 8 years of experience doing hands-on, Performance Test Strategy, Planning & Designing Performance tests, good understanding of identifying and seeking the right Performance Test Environments, Hands-on Scripting, Performance Monitoring, Analysis & Reporting skills
Hands-on knowledge in commercial and/or open source tools used for performance testing and performance monitoring
Ability to understand the overall technical landscape and various deployment architectures -distributed web applications deployed on datacentres, COTS systems procured and installed on-premises as well as SaaS consumed through the cloud
Other non-functional Testing: (Fault Tolerance, DR testing etc.,)
Knowledge in at least 2 or more Security Domains such as, Application Security, PKI/ Cryptography, Malware Analysis, Security Incident Management, Network Security, Vulnerability Management, Security Monitoring, Data Security, Data Protection, Identity & Access Management etc.,
Knowledge of Classical, DevOps / Agile Delivery
Excellent testing and software delivery lifecycle frameworks knowledge together with solid understanding and experience of project management methodologies (e.g. waterfall, iterative, agile)
Experience conducting quality audits
Excellent communications and presentation skills with ability to adjust communication styles depending on type of target audience
Excellent influential and negotiation skills
Ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders including senior management – Head of portfolio, project managers, test managers, testing staff
