What you’ll be doing...

The work you’ll be doing will support multiple business critical applications within the provisioning domains. You and your team will provide applications support and deliver reliable and efficient systems-related solutions. The projects you manage will improve the applications used by your colleagues every day to meet the needs of our customers.

Adjusting projects to adapt to changing requirements and involving IT resources from other areas.
Managing project budgets and adjusting project plans to meet deadlines.
Ensuring projects are staffed effectively and follow appropriate systems life cycles.
Developing and leading project status updates with client groups and IT teams.
Leading, developing and bringing out the best in your team.
The work you’ll be doing will be handling / maintaining a platform - a Provisioning Gateway through which all the service provisioning apps will need to talk and interact with. This application will be responsible for creating, maintaining and orchestrating the service provisioning for multiple Verizon products in VzT, VRD and iEN space. When these applications are working well, they are an important part of the overall customer experience.

Leading multiple projects using on-site and off-shore resources to maintain and develop applications for both enterprise releases and smaller maintenance releases.
Identifying and aligning project requirements and conducting impact analyses.
Working closely with the business team, 3rd party vendors, and other internal IT teams to deliver projects on time.
Performing hands-on coding work on projects to introduce new modular, reusable Service/API or enhancing the existing ones.
Performing engineering tasks associated with the analysis, design, and development of computer hardware, firmware, embedded systems, and/or operating systems.

You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant experience.
Experience with JAVA, SQL, XML, C++.

Even better if you have:
Master’s degree in Computer Science.
Experience managing global resources.
A Project Management Professional (PMP) license.
Experience leading a technical team

In Addition:
Experience with J2EE and Java technologies, Spring, Servlet, Web Services and databases.
Working experience with OOP, SOA, modular code development, micro services, design pattern, multi-threading.
Experience with Server back end and API/Service development.
Familiarity with network protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP.
Knowledge of industry best practices in enterprise-class software development and agile methodology.
Experience in cloud computing, a Rules Engine such as DROOLS, Spring Integration, Caching, or any similar technology, mobile web experience.
Have: experience in leading a team, mentoring, coaching, stakeholder management.
Experience Working with Vendors partners.
