Facebook is looking for a Public Policy Manager, to join its Public Policy Team based out of Delhi. The team's mission is to lead Facebook's engagement with policy makers in India and South Asia. This person will lead on issues related to economic regulation development with focus on competition law and trade policies in the region. In this role, you will develop thinking on key economic policy and regulatory issues that impact the future of the Internet at one of the world's leading Internet companies.
The ideal candidate will be a recognized expert in issues related to the impact of the Internet on the economy and related issues such as competition law, trade policy. You should be passionate about the services we provide and the people that we serve. This is a full-time position located at our office in Delhi, India. Suitably qualified candidates located in other countries will also be considered.
Develop policy positions on economic regulations affecting the Internet in South Asia
Identify, monitor, and analyze competition and trade policy issues affecting Facebook in South Asia
Work with Facebook’s global competition and trade experts to develop policy positions
Articulate our policy positions in briefing papers, consultation responses and internal policy meetings
Advise Facebook teams on public policy matters to guide development of products, services and policies
Represent Facebook in meetings with internal and external stakeholders
Plan and execute research activities with right institutions on relevant competition issues.
Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Law, Business, Economics or related field
Public policy experience of minimum 10 years, including work in competition or economic policy areas
Knowledge in technology and policy issues.
Post Graduation/ PhD
Experience working at a globalized tech company
Experience working on economic issues in/with government
Track record of communicating on tech policy issues.
