The Role:
As our new Software Engineer colleague, you will be exposed to technologies like Java, PHP, Javascript/Typescript , Python, Groovy, Jenkins, Linux, Git, AWS, SQL, Kubernetes, Docker , Pytest .
Your mission at Irdeto:
Develop, improve, maintain and document clean code, in an agile manner, as part of a Scrum Team
Design and implement Media Manager, both backend and frontend, with a focus on service performance and reliability
Pair programming and code reviews
Participate in quality assurance activities, including test case creation, automation and execution, at every level, from unit until system testing
Contribute to the maintenance of development, testing and delivery tools and frameworks
Collaborate to the creation and maintenance of CICD pipelines, together with the DevOps engineers
Challenge old habits, bring new ideas
How you can add value to the team?
A Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a similar field
Solid professional programming experience in Java. Additionally PHP and Javascript/Typescript would be preffered
Experience or affinity with cloud technologies (AWS, etc.)
Experience with Q uality A ssurance (besides unit testing, also component, integration, system and acceptance testing and automation at every level)
Exposure to delivery tools (Jenkins, Gitlab CI, etc.) and versioning systems (Git, etc.)
Experience in SQL (preferably MySQL) and NoSQL is a plus
Experience in Symfony and Doctrine is a plus
Experience in Angular is a plus
Experience in the development, test and delivery of large scale, high traffic, highly reliable back-end systems is a plus
Experience in Docker is a plus
Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Groovy, etc.) is a plus
Proficient verbal and written English communication skills
