The Finance Group at Bridge partners with country and global leadership to achieve financial sustainability of our operations and make our mission come true. We provide strategic partnership to global leadership on raising capital and actionable feedback on our financial performance. We are continually focused on judicious use of resources whether for each one of our territories or for the entire organisation.
Across our rapidly scaling multi-unit enterprise, we provide leadership to build a world-class financial infrastructure. This includes the design and development of financial systems, policies, procedures (taking into account current and fast growing high volume transactions, teams, numbers of geographically distributed business units) and provision of shared services for financial operations by a centralised team specialising in Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Treasury and Financial Planning & Analysis.
We serve Financial leadership in each territory by managing the accounting, accounts payable, treasury and payroll requirements of the Bridge group. We understand that our consistent operational excellence is critical to empowering our customers with data and understanding of their financial performance. We also collaborate heavily with external stakeholders such as our investors and auditors by leading all financial reporting efforts.

About the Role
Manage and direct accounting staff responsible for centre level and consolidated accounting functions such as expense variance and analysis, account reconciliation, daily and monthly accounting processes such as journal entries and accruals
Ensure equal distribution of workload across all GL team members
Manage and direct teams chartered to improve processes related to general accounting functions and responsibilities
Responsible for process management and documentation of internal controls, including assessment of design and operating effectiveness, and liaison with external auditors with respect to assigned functional areas
Primary responsibility for selection, hiring, evaluation, training and development of supervisors and staff accountants
Resolve all escalated queries and disputes with appropriate stakeholders to maintain internal customer satisfaction and to drive individual GL processes such as posting of journal entries, ledger account and bank reconciliations and management of fixed assets administration, escalating group issues as necessary
Maintain integrity of the General Ledger reconciliations to appropriate sub-ledgers and supporting documents including month end reconciliation to the General Ledger
Promote and implement standardisation of GL processes
Manage compliance of GST (including other taxes) provisions.
Promote culture of continuous process improvement
What You Will Do
Manage the GL team’s workload and assign priorities as needed
Deliver clear and timely closure on all issues, both internal and external, with effective communication
Lead the team to continuously improve performance and motivate team members
Lead the team to achieve individual and GL team objectives
Effectively manage the team with respect to all “people” policies in the Finance Shared service, including discipline; grievance; etc.
Perform other duties as assigned or requested that are in accordance with the responsibilities of a member of the management team and / or a team lead
Assist in timely completion of internal and external audit.
Ensure proper accruals for all the Bridge entities on a monthly basis.
Identifying process improvement areas and leading the teams for fixing them
Monthly general ledger scrutiny
What You Should Have
Qualified Chartered Accountant
Minimum of 5-7 years' related finance or accounting experience highly preferred
Knowledge of IFRS and IND AS

Key Skills and Competencies:
Prior supervisory or managerial experience.
Ability to interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience of working in a group environment – e.g. as part of a group of companies with intercompany transactions is ideal
Experience of handling taxation matters
Must have experience of working with a large ERP system.
Team management experience is essential (minimum three)
