The centers provide comprehensive strategic support across technology and business operations processing to all lines of business and the corporate functions.

The Consumer Banking Specialist is responsible for providing timely resolutions to our Consumer and Community Banking customer’s queries. They will connect with our customers through inbound/outbound calls regarding transactions on their accounts such as payments, loans, charges/fees, interest rates, rewards and other issues.

The Business Planning and Analysis (BP&A) team is a part of Consumer and Community Banking Finance and Operations. The Quantitative Workforce Optimization (QWO) team is tasked with delivering quantitatively driven solutions to support the core BP&A functions (demand forecasting, capacity planning, resource scheduling, and business analysis & support). The BP&A team supports Chase’s call centers, back office, and ~5,200 retail branches.

Projects engaged by the QWO team can be complex, data intensive, and of a high level of difficulty, each having significant impact on the business. Typically these problems will be of an unstructured nature, whereby the employee will be expected to quickly assess and comprehend the situation then develop a practical problem solving strategy. You will be expected to analyze the topic in question, develop solution proposals and review their results and next steps with management for prioritization and delivery.

The QWO team has four core functions:
Data Infrastructure & Controls
Run-the-Bank Quant
Change-the-Bank Quant

The Data Infrastructure & Controls (DIC) team is tasked with delivering data infrastructure and processes in partnership with DECO, the CCB Data Analytics DDO, and CCB Ops technology. The DIC team operates as the exploratory group for locating valuable information in data. They are responsible for identifying relevant data elements that exist within and outside of JPMorgan Chase & Co., run analyses to transform and enrich the data, and construct the usable data into an optimized queryable asset to be loaded into our analytics environment. They will also be responsible for owning the development and optimization of all quantitative data assets in our environment, including: conceptual design, logical, physical and semantic design, testing and user acceptance, performance tuning and optimization, and finally hand off to production support teams. They also must ensure compliance by implementing a data control framework in line with CCB and CDO standards. In addition to their data tasks, they also work to automate data pipelines that aren’t easily completed in a standard technology environment (e.g. spreadsheets and non-standard reports).


The Data Infrastructure & Controls Associate will be charged with delivering on the Run the Ban functional priorities listed prior. This position will directly support the greater CCB BP&A efforts to ensure they have the best and most predictive data available for use, and will work hand-in-hand with them to ensure Chase maintains the best quantitative workforce optimization


Educational Background

Combination of experience and/or a degree in a computational field (equivalent to 4 years) operating as a data professional (e.g. data architect, engineer, or related professions) in a quantitative field with at least 5 years of relevant experience

Technical Skills

Experience with big-data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, SparkML, etc.
Expert in data-related operations (e.g. SQL, Unix, SAS, etc.)
Experience in SQL tuning, data validation, ETL process, dimensional and relational data modeling.
Experience building data architectures and data pipelines in support of analytic
Problem Solving & Leadership Skills

Developing and communicating business recommendations and insights in easy-to-understand-way leveraging data to tell a story
Demonstrated relationship building skills, with a superior ability to make things happen through the use of positive influence.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Big Data and Data Science engineering techniques.
Experience with Spark, Trifacta, and SAS.
Experience with Chase data and IT tools such as ITSM and DM are a plus
Must Have skills
