Description / Primary Responsibilities:
Facilitates scrum events including but not limited to; daily scrum, refinement, planning, review, and retrospective .
Assists teams in resolving impediments regardless of where they are in the organization
Builds productive relationships amongst the team and follows through on commitments to gain trust and respect
Leads and coaches the benefits of working in an agile manner, including agile practices, events and techniques to all employees within span of influence
Coaches the Product owner to ensure the team is aligned with the Product vision, Product Backlog, Sprint goals, and other necessary information to produce the desired outcomes
Coach Product Owner to use the right processes to create a successful product by:
Defining product scope, guiding principles and roadmap
Understanding the customer, getting feedback to drive product development
Building and maintaining a healthy backlog
Organizing interactions with stakeholders
Embraces the concept of continuous learning in own journey and drives in the team by:
Protecting the team from churn
Driving velocity improvements
Lowering defect density
Promoting more frequent deployments
Assumes ownership role in the team and has shared accountability with the team on delivery and continuous improvements
Enables and ensures clear communication to help the Development team to meet its goal
Helps team to celebrate smart failure and learn new ways to improve
Applies self -organization skills to facilitate cross-functional collaboration, effective communication, decision making, and conflict resolution
Works with other Scrum Masters (via. Community of Practices) to increase the effectiveness of agile ways of working in the organization
Skills:
Demonstrated ability to acts as Scrum Master and influence policy for up to 3 teams and/or newly formed teams with additional complexity and ambiguity
Knowledge of Scrum/Agile principles and application of it at scale
Ability to flex approach based on the needs of the team/organization
Uses empathy; understand team dynamics and organizational boundaries / constraints
Ability to use and analyze data/organizational metrics to identify trends, demonstrate progress and identify opportunities for the team
Ability to use facilitation skills to help unlock self-organization, autonomy and creativity in the team
Ability to lead Design Thinking / Strategy Sessions
Solid and proven understanding of various other Agile frameworks such as Kanban, XP, LeSS
Working knowledge of collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Share Point
Estimation and Planning skills to ensure the team has a healthy backlog
Business Knowledge:
Possess the business acumen required to ensure that goals, scope, and product domain knowledge is shared and understood by everyone on the team as well as possible
Technical knowledge of preferred programming practices (CI/CD, ATDD, Continuous Testing, etc.) in order to lead the team towards the right solutions and improvements.
Familiar with common development design patterns or technologies such as Service oriented environments, Microservices, APIs, etc.
Knowledge of transformation strategic direction
Familiarity with customer-centered techniques including user research, UX and UI trends, design thinking, lean startup, customer journey and user story mapping.
Familiarity with end to end product concepts including brand management, marketing, prospecting, account opening, enrollment, fulfillment, and servicing.
Familiarity with end to end product development concepts including risk, audit, controls, and legal and compliance
Knowledge of Cucumber, Selenium, Gherkin is a plus
Experience in Wealth Management / BFSI domain related projects is a plus
Experience:
8-12 years' experience in the IT industry including at least 3 years as Scrum Master in an Agile development desired
Experience partnering with Sr Leadership/stakeholders across Enterprise/LOB
