About the role
This role will be based in our Mumbai office and will provide general administrative and analytical support to a department or group of professionals, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of transactions within agreed service standards.
To assist in improving the efficiency of the Accounts Payable team by supervising and developing other members of the team, preparing and processing client invoices, maintaining suppliers records, maintaining and building relationships with internal and external clients.
Role and responsibilities:
Assist with implementing process improvement and efficiency initiatives.
Ensure all Link Group payments are processed and records maintained with a high level of accuracy to satisfy internal and external requirements in Australia and overseas subsidiaries.
Timely resolution of queries and escalations from the team, Finance Managers, internal and external clients.
Accurate maintenance of supplier details including effective liaison and regular supplier statement reconciliations.
Ensure invoices are coded correctly by reviewing information submitted by business units and querying information when necessary.
Assist with cash / expense forecasting and producing various reports.
Support the preparation of bank reconciliations, including follow up of outstanding items.
Oversee the petty cash function for a number of locations.
Preparation of monthly accruals for non-paid invoices.
Monitoring and raising of issues along with suggestions for process improvement.
Responsibility for the administration and maintenance of corporate credit card program, cab charge and Australia Post accounts.
Supplier management & rationalisation, including assisting in procurement related decisions.
Other reasonable duties as requested by Manager.
Coach and further develop skills of team members.
Review and supervise work completed by Accounts Payable team members.
Manage payments in accordance with Link Group’s payment terms and policies.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Significant previous experience in an Accounts Payable managerial role (5+ years ) for a large group, using an ERP system
Previous experience / the capability to supervise and coach team members
Strong numerical and Microsoft excel skills
Advanced reconciliation skills
Basic knowledge of overall accounting structures and practices
Effective relationship building and maintenance skills
Well-developed written and oral communication skills
Ability to quickly learn and become comfortable with new concepts and skills
Ability to effectively respond and meet challenging deadlines
Enthusiasm and a can-do “hands on” attitude
Effective planning and prioritization skills

Willingness to work in APAC (starting 4.00 am) and EMEA shifts.
