We’re now looking for a talented senior technologist to join us on this journey and help lead and grow our technology team based in Gurugram along with partner resources distributed across India.
In this role you’ll report to the Asia Head of Banking and Financial Services Technology and have the opportunity to sit on the India Technology as well as Asia Banking and Financial Services Technology leadership teams.
As Head for Banking and Financial Services, Tech, in India, you’ll lead a talented local technology team of approximately 120 people that deliver retail banking solutions. You’ll drive an agile environment and take end to end ownership for deliveries as well as identify and drive improvements to the platform and development processes. You’ll disrupt traditional processes and practices by developing innovative applications that solve real-world problems. You’ll also help drive performance, value and innovation from our key vendor partners though relationship management processes and by monitoring and mitigating supplier risk. You’ll provide coaching, mentoring, training, and problem-solving support to your team while also building strong relationships with different stakeholders and teams globally.
To be successful and thrive in this role we anticipate that you bring a strong engineering background, with 18+ years of experience with 5+ years of recent experience building and leading diverse engineering/technology teams. You’ll also have a degree in Computer Science or Engineering and a strong understanding of banking and financial systems. You’ll bring experience of working with stakeholders and collaborating across organisational and geographical boundaries and have an empathetic people leadership style. Strong communication skills with the ability to create a shared vision and motivate others to make that vision a reality will serve you well in this role. Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices will be an added advantage.
