YOUR ROLE
Customer-facing sales team representative working with an Account Manager focused on India-West specific accounts in Mumbai. Perform technical tasks, including network design, engineering, and quotes. Ability to communicate solutions to customers and manage ongoing technical relationship with customer and internally within Ciena
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Network and applications engineering for CIENA products
- Complete network designs for customer application of CIENA networking products
- Drive introduction of new concepts / features into customer networks
- Adopt and learn network design and modelling tools
- Prepare of quotes and assist in proposal preparation for all CIENA products using internal tools
- Provide product and technical expertise to support Sales efforts on optical, Routing and Switching products and SDN Management systems
- Serve as a technical resource for customer related issues
- Collaborate with sales group and product management/marketing to develop and/or propose product enhancements to meet customer requirements
- Travel might be required
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Knowledge of fibre optic transmission systems (OTN/DWDM) and data networking
- Good degree of presentation, interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Good knowledge of computers and application programs (e.g., MS Office)
- Flexible, able to handle multiple tasks
