We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.
To provide Finance Support to HSBC Technology functions via detailed financial analysis to facilitate decision making and support future business strategies, managing accruals/recharges, managing stakeholder management. Additionally, drive the change process by developing standard reports and process for major financial activities.
Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
Define controls and make sure accounting process (accruals, recharges, depreciation etc) are completed in timely manner
Prepare executive summary and present them to senior stakeholders across the business/function
Analyze financial data, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
Work closely with the COO teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
Plan for quarter-end & year-end close workload (Cost side). Perform scenario building to enable decision making for senior stakeholders
Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide solutions to management (for e.g. Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools)
Support BP Finance Team with complex ad-hoc analysis
Gain advanced understanding of Business and Business processes
Review and sign off process checklist / operating procedures/ monthly reports
Participate in Departmental / Global Projects; Lead simple projects under regular reviews and guidance; Propose proactive course corrections and Ensure all the project mile stones are met by the team
MBA /PGDBA / Accounting graduate in finance with 7-10 yrs. financial planning experience preferably in ITES or financial services industry. Preferably experience in IT function of the organisation
Should have a working knowledge of Cost management and accounting principles
Experience in working on analytical / BI Tools; advanced MS-Office Skills Understanding of ERP systems (Cognos, SAP, Fusion etc)s
Excellent attention to detail and ability to use judgment. Resilient, quick thinker and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines
Excellent communication skills - comfortable working with candidates at all levels and building stakeholder relationships internally
Be quick to respond to requests for service from all of your clients
Use your courage to take action in difficult and challenging situations and deal with uncertainty
Ability to communicate with impact and effectively to influence others;
