Local Unit & Position Description:
What is the purpose of the position and the prime reason for its existence?
With the purpose of conducting a standardized, high quality and cost –efficient support function, GSS finance has re-organized its India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh operations into a center responsible for defined finance processes and transactional tasks in Mumbai.
Collection processes have been aligned across business areas into a standard model executed through the GSS finance center working together with Business areas
The Collection controller supports with collection activities within legal entities in India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh
Tasks & Responsibilities
Responsible of group of assigned accounts in specific Region/Business Area
Contact accounts proactively to obtain payments on time and negotiating payment plans
Addressing ongoing customer complaints concerning invoicing or service rendered and works on complaints of service failures with designated departments
Identifies issues to be escalated – disputes, sales
Automatic reminder procedure and follow-up
Contact customers with past dues balances for collection purposes, and collect effectively while maintaining the customer relationship
Reviewing, analyze and develop customer risk profiles using customer information
Assisting Project Managers and KAMs to gather full view of customer portfolio, provide information about customer history and activities through organization.
Support with cash allocation process when required
Educational background within Finance (B.Com or M.Com).
3 years or more experience in collection environment, accounts receivable or related area
Solid experience from a global Finance organization in an international company. Good understanding of all key business processes across functional areas. Experience working in Oracle is an advantage.
