Lead Solution Engineer – Commerce Cloud - India

Salesforce Commerce Cloud is seeking a Lead Solution Consultant who will be responsible for pre-sales technical assistance for the sales teams. This individual will perform technical presentations and demonstrations of our Commerce Cloud platform. The Solution Consultant must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users and be able to identify all the technical and business issues to sales prospects to assure complete customer satisfaction.
Our Pre-Sales Solution Engineers act as a trusted advisors to Salesforce’s most strategic customers by demonstrating how Commerce Cloud can help them generate online revenue fast, easily scale for growth, and stay 100 percent connected with customers.
To be based out of one of our India offices, as a Lead Solution Engineer, you will be providing technical product expertise, responding to RFIs, RFPs, designing a custom solutions to showcasing Commerce Clouds’ enterprise-class SaaS product for e-commerce. This role is integral to providing pre-sales support while partnering with the Sales team. With a strong blend of product sales and technical skills, the Solution Engineer uses a consultative approach to understand business and technical requirements and articulate the strategies for a Commerce Cloud solution.
The role will have a primary focus on B2B Commerce solutions, with a secondary focus of B2C Commerce. The Salesforce Commerce Cloud Solutions Engineer:
Candidate must at least 5+years of presale/solution engineer experience
Has experience in selling and working with B2B Commerce solutions. Experience with B2C Commerce solutions will also be beneficial
Has a dynamic personality with presence in executive C-Suite level conversations
Has exceptional discovery skills and solves complex business problems for a customer’s ecosystem
Is comfortable leading in-depth hands on technical and education workshops at customer sites
Has the ability to demonstrate the value add of Commerce Cloud and differentiate from the competition.
Is able to articulate themselves clearly without jargon and can speak credibly about technical concepts, delving deeper into each area based on the audience
Is adaptable to different verticals and industries with a solution selling mentality
Works with the Pre-Sales Team to drive Sales Growth.
Is able to work with multiple groups within Salesforce including Solution Experts for other products, product management, product marketing and professional services in order to arrive at the optimal solution and ultimate customer success
Owns one or multiple key initiatives that evangelize our solution to the internal customer and provide value add to our paying prospects and customers
Understands how the Salesforce Platform and its suite of products, especially the Commerce Cloud are built, structured, secured and how to integrate between legacy systems and cloud systems is integral to this role
Has a blend of strong technical knowledge with business and sales acumen
Knows how to have fun and wants to get out of their comfort zone on a daily basis; excited to join a highly motivated sales team who are fanatical about our customer success
Has experience in Salesforce core platform.
Is open to travel (up to 50%)
Nice to have:
Showcase the power of the platform, demonstrate integration capabilities and map out complex architecture state diagrams that address overarching business concerns.
Have worked on the Salesforce platform (Apex, Visualforce) or have experience with other cloud based products & services Or who have worked with web platforms (portals, web content management, social community tools).
Can demonstrate a good understanding of the architectural principles of web-based platforms including SaaS, multi-tenancy, multi-tiered infrastructure and application servers, and enterprise application integration (e.g. process orchestration, customer data integration, master data management, API considerations)
