Leads troubleshooting calls and drives to root cause resolution; makes recommendations for long-term resolution of problems across the enterprise.
Leads complex initiatives and issues within the Middleware functional technical area as well as cross functional areas.
Ensures adherence to established Middleware technology standards and consults with senior leadership on technology solutions.
Works closely with the application development organization and other functional IT areas to determine best practices, tuning, and problem resolution and root cause analysis in the Middleware space.
Recommends strategies for technical aspects of the existing Middleware systems as well as broad system improvements.
Recommends strategies for process and monitoring improvement
Provides technical consulting on the use & integration of the Middleware and system utilities, tools, and applications.
Perform regular maintenance on the Web environments, including software installation, upgrades, and patching.
Job Requirements and Skill Sets:
Strong hands-on experience working with the latest versions of WebSphere Products, Apache, Jboss, Tomcat, IBM Http server, WebLogic.
5+ years technical experience, with 3+ years in production support roles.
Strong working knowledge of SQL, DB2 and Oracle databases.
Experience with git, git hub, jenkins to support configuration management and deployment.
Strong understanding of different operating systems like RedHat Linux, windows, AIX, SUSE Linux.
Hands on experience with perl, python and shell scripting.
Familiarity with using a ticketing system to document and track work status.
Knowledge of Cloud Technology concepts, topologies and service models (PaaS, AWS).
Experience with monitoring tools like App Dynamics, Dyna Trace, splunk etc.
Strong knowledge in troubleshooting application related issues.
