What is the BU Learning Consultant – GSS Support Services group is responsible for?
Under general supervision, the Training Coordinator develops, facilitates, coordinates, and delivers business unit specific trainings and skill development activities for the Transfer Agent. The training efforts will be focused on but not limited to developing and reinforcing the delivery of superior, cost-effective service to customers while building the trust of all shareholders and financial advisors and protecting the best interest of the funds. Training assignments may range from simple to complex.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of the BU Learning Consultant?
Delivering trainings to the processing staff both New Hires and Existing employees’ basis the business requirements.
Design and develop the training outline, curriculum, and training material based on most recent policies and workflow and ensure the documents are kept up to date with the most current information.
Coordinate training logistics, schedules, communication, and resources.
Coordinate all activities related to the design and development of the training initiative – e.g. Identify creative ways to delivering effective trainings, participate in meetings and forums relating to developing and implementing the training initiatives.
Keep a track of employee’s performance during and post training and share feedback with the reporting supervisors.
Keep abreast of policy, procedure, and workflow updates. Submit corrections to policy, procedure, or workflow information as needed. Manage and respond to emails and voicemails. Attend management and training team meetings. Maintain and update department training and skill development material.
Assess skill gaps and training needs as needed or when requested. Perform post-training evaluations when appropriate. Provide evaluation results to supervisors and managers.
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to present information, design and deliver training in a small or large setting.
Ability to interact and communicate well with all levels in the organization including associates, supervisors, managers, and directors.
Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to work well with a variety of different people and levels.
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
Ability to prioritize work and deliver expected results within established and often aggressive timelines.
Ability to self-learn and reach out to the right resources to expand knowledge.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Must be highly flexible to the training requirements, systems and schedules.
Independently solves routine problems of limited scope or complexity.
Follows specific instructions but can prioritize own work and plan own tasks to meet objectives.
Experience Required: Minimum 18 Months of experience.
