The South Asia Facilities Project Manager & Mechanical Engineer will report to the CS South Asia Site Manager. This position will be responsible for providing Facilities project management and Mechanical engineering support to the site.
The positon presents an opportunity to play a central role in maintaining our state-of-the-art environmental controls, including oil-free air systems, Heating, Ventilating, Air conditioning (HVAC) systems, chilled water plant, boilers and environmental compliance exhaust systems. Our Mechanical Engineers make a big impact by supporting our daily tactical efforts in safety, reliability and environmental objectives.
Facilities Project Management:
Partner successfully with key stakeholders including Intel Business Units (BU's), Facility Operations owners, global supply management, Intel Finance and suppliers to Lead and successfully manage a wide spectrum of Facilities Construction projects to enable Intel businesses in South Asia, India. Furthermore, colleagues will follow your lead in planning, design, reconfiguration, construction, maintenance and modifications - everything that goes into supporting Intel's most valuable facilities
- Lead the planning and co-ordination of relevant activities to deliver construction scope, schedule and budget to meet Intel business needs. Working closely with Stakeholders in the daily site coordination/project execution which cover utilities installation, Safety signoff co-ordination, scope change requests including building retrofit & construction.
� As the Facilities Mechanical system owner, responsible for the Operations and Maintenance of facilities Mechanical systems in India. This will be accomplished through working with the Site Facility management agency, vendors and Stakeholders in evaluating current systems, determining compliance to standards and processes, providing technical direction and/or support in ensuring uptime, operational efficiency, maintenance, system modeling and change control.
� Maintain construction projects in compliance with all local relevant laws regarding construction activities, ensuring any necessary licenses and/or permits are in place.
The successful candidate should have:Qualifications:
- Manage day to day construction operations to ensure a safe working environment for everyone, adhering to Intel Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements and participating in the incident investigation when needed.
- Establishing key relationships with the Architectural / Engineering (AE), General Contractor (GC), Design/Builders (DB), 3rd party Quality Assurance Quality Control (QAQC) and Project Stakeholders in ensuring smooth project execution according to schedule, quality and change controls.
- Translate business and technical requirements into high quality Designs that enable biddable, affordable and constructible solutions.
- Foster innovation and transform traditional construction practices by driving new methods and engineering solutions by leveraging industry insights to Intel's multidimensional challenges.
- Ensure sustainability, SMART building, Energy Efficiency, LEED Certification and other enabling capabilities are adopted to deliver innovative breakthroughs.
- Engage in the transformation of Intel culture and set the pace relative to the best in the world for safety, operational excellence, innovation, partnership, customer service and making CS the best place to work in Intel.
- Required to work closely with groups of Stakeholders/Customers Finance, Procurement to ensure successfully delivery of solutions.
� A proven track record of at least 10 years in support of services management, with emphasis on facilities engineering and operations.
� Experience with Statistical Process control.
� Experience working in a production environment and/or with other facilities process systems.
� Experience in commissioning Mechanical equipment such as pumps, boilers, chillers, HVAC units and compressors. Compressed air systems, Rotary machines, Heat Exchangers, Diesel Engines, water and Sewage treatment plants, BMS Excellent knowledge in fluid and thermo dynamics
� Experience with project planning, coordination and integration
� Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or other equivalent Engineering degree from an accredited university.
� 8-10 years of Experience in Mechanical Engineering with experience in large-scale manufacturing/ mechanical engineering facility services support, such as facilities HVAC, exhaust/pumps/piping/valves, PCS, chillers, boilers and compressor systems, Chilled/Process cooling water plant, chemical engineering principles, pumps, valves, flow calculations and chemical analytical testing.
� 8-10 years of experience identifying, analyzing and solving immediate issues with technical equipment.
� The successful candidate should have regional or global management experience with diverse teams and customer base.
� Direct project management experience and/or certified PMP is a plus.
o Good understanding of the legal process and basic knowledge of Local vernacular language is desired.
o Excellent organizational skills and great attention to detail with ability to handle prioritize multiple projects at a time.
o Self-starter. Has a strong sense of initiative, and drive to understand the changing environment and relate it back to Intel
� Be able to translate technical topics into understandable information for the general employee base and be able to interpret the implications/feasibility of community interests to Intel operations at the small Asia remote sites.
� Demonstrated ability to interact and effectively present to Sr. Mgt/Stakeholders across multiple business groups
� Strong written and verbal communication skills.
� Demonstrated influencing skills at all levels of the organization.
