The Stores Operative will be responsible for the receiving and despatching goods within the store's environment at our Exeter base. The role will ensure that all areas of the stores team is cover and that there is a strong focus on following procedures in accordance with EASA regulations. The role will also provide a point of contact for all Engineering departments with regards to the supply of parts around the network. This position will be in regular contact with Production, Parts Trading, Purchasing, Maintrol, Planning, Workshops and Stores. The role will improve the productivity within the business as well as ensuring the parts /supply requirements are fulfilled at Exeter and around the network. The store Operative will work alongside other team members within the Stores.
Ensure that any tasks he/she undertakes in the Stores are compliance with the Stores Procedures.
To ensure the safety and security of all assets held in the Stores facility.
Receive parts into Goods In from Suppliers; checking and booking said items onto computer system and placing into stock.
Monitor staffing levels in the different areas to ensure maximum efficiency.
To ensure clear & precise handover's between day & night shifts.
Report into the Stores Team Leaders.
Take ownership of the day to day running of the stores.
To undertake other similar or associated duties as may be assigned by stores manager
Essential Skills and Qualifications
Experience and understanding of stores function in Aerospace or related industry.
Experience of AMOS Material and Logistics systems, interpretation and delivery.
Understanding of material planning support disciplines and company procedures relating to scheduled activity.
Understand all compliance and procedural requirements relating to Material Support.
Experience of engagement with internal and external stakeholders across multiple department's, both operational and commercial/financial.
Ability to deal with multiple inputs into the role, primarily all-time critical.
Experience and understanding of Legislation concerning material management and supply.
Experience of supporting high frequency operational industry with constantly changing priorities.
Experience of co-ordinating supply chain in terms of materials and logistics and in particular planning and forecasting.
Excellent Communication skills.
Experience of Stores functions in Aerospace MRO.
Experience of SMS with engineering or technical background.
