The Rainbow Homes Program – ARUN – aims to protect, care for, educate and empower our most disadvantaged children. These include children who live on city streets; orphaned, abandoned, and violence-affected children; working children; children of farmer suicide and starvation families; and children of sex workers. We strive to ensure that these children access their rights in loving, open and safe residential care homes in government schools and buildings; and for them to grow into happy, responsible and caring citizens.
Association for Rural and Urban Needy (ARUN) works with marginalized communities in urban and rural areas particularly with Dalits, Safai Karmacharis, Children without adult care and distressed communities that are victims of homelessness; by establishing supportive, caring systems that will ensure freedom from hunger, violence and deprivation and enable a life of peace, social integration, harmony and dignity. ARUN runs the Rainbow Homes Program with diverse partners in many cities across India.
About the Position:
The Fundraising Coordinator is a state level position, the person responsible for the communication and the fundraising support for the Rainbow Homes programs in the state
Lead the development and execution of fundraising strategies supporting local efforts
Responsible for channelizing funds to support local offices’ work and cover own administrative costs
Establish corporate relations protocols and co-manage corporate relationships at the state level
Maintain relationships with donors as Lead Account Manager for the state
Develop an integrated resource mobilization strategy that contributes to the delivery of the overall Rainbow Homes fundraising strategy
Execute the strategy timely and through skillful deployment of resources
Manage all day-to-day activities that contribute to mobilization of resources, including brand building, communication & publicity, events, merchandising and donor management
Nurture existing relationships and constantly expand current network of donors by tapping into local Organizations, Foundations, HNI’s and foreign corporations.
Work closely with the program team at state level to guide them in funding requirements and fund utilization issues
Prescribe, lead and conduct market research and marketing initiatives to assess donor priorities and identify opportunities for resource mobilization
Create an external support network of professionals to augment performance of the in-house team and minimize costs
Ensure documentation of all procedures, donor details, reports, etc.
Contribute to growth and development of Rainbow Homes through participation and continuous appraisal of the existing fundraising strategy
Support Campaigns including making presentations to companies, and accounts management.
Communicate with stakeholders – Internal and External – of the organization, build relationships and take forward.
Communicate and support in organizing State Level meetings/trainings involving the Network, State Office and National Office.
Liaoning between the State Office, Donors, National Office for Fundraising and other related activities.
Any other as assigned by the line manager.
A Master’s degree in Social Sciences / Development.
Minimum 3years experience in fundraising and networking in NGO/ Social Sector.
Excellent communications skills, spoken and written Kannada and English and spoken Hindi.
Knowledge of MS Office applications.
Knowledge of Individual, corporate and Government fundraising strategies and experience if any, preferred.
Ability to organize donor visits, donor management and compliance.
Ability to work flexibly and to fulfill the donor management requirements
