ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Objectives:
To meet the primary financial goal of through sales and structuring of TTS solutions across Local Corporates, Multinationals for both their country and global opportunities

Core Responsibilities:
Identify different buying centers across companies and work towards forging a productive relationship across key/large/complex customers at Treasurer/CFO/Business Head levels in the customer organization.
Be recognized as a thought leader in the industry and work with customers to provide an enabling solution, 1st to market, in an evolving business environment.
Leverage the domestic and overseas network for MNC flows, including travel to some of the key buying centre locations/regions along with Coverage, TTS & Markets partners
To bring special focus and growth through the ecosystem approach and identifying and winning in high potential segments like e commerce, FMCG, Tech etc. Developing client centric industry specific solutions and pitches to sharpen engagement with clients.
Aggressively grow market share in the Asia to Asia flows across cash and trade through leveraging global & regional network as well as effective One Bank collaboration locally.
Be a leader in innovation & digitization, and uptier client engagements through co-creation and collaboration including open mindset on collaboration with fintecs.
Provide supervisory support and guidance to Client Solution Sales and Global Solution Sales supporting the portfolio.
Lead initiatives including events that facilitate Citi Transaction Banking in deepening client relationships, strengthen Citi brand as an industry thought leader, etc. Also contribute to growing India business through strategic thinking, and taking-on special projects
Build productive working relationships with partner groups across regional/global sales teams, product, operations & technology, legal, compliance, coverage and market teams. Be involved in cross-functional workgroups to ideate and implement actions that improve customer experience with Citi TTS
As the team-leader of a client facing unit, be the one that contributes actively to generation of new product/solution/marketing ideas that allow Citi to continue to be at fore-front of market-first solutions
Innovation Focus, work with the innovation team to co-create solutions with clients, capitalize on partnerships with Fintechs to deliver differentiated solutions to clients
Use innovation and technology as a retention strategy for large defense clients and to gain access to new prospect clients
Establish strong relationships with key digital and innovation stakeholders at client’s end
Coach and mentor the sales team, drive a culture of inclusion, encourage the team on initiatives
Drive sales excellence, uptier Sales team through training, joint calling with senior leadership team
Work on always bettering voice of employee, ensure continuous feedback and career discussions

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Financials – Sales Revenue generation for TTS India
This job needs the incumbent to possess specialized product knowledge in Cash and Trade across Corporate segment. The complexity of the job arises from -
1. Impact of regulatory guidelines and restrictions;

2. Credit linkages; and

3. Leveraging existing business.

Therefore, the incumbent has a demanding role to play in - Achieving an aggressive revenue number in a highly competitive market by selling a diverse portfolio of 12+ products/ sub-products. The incumbent will have supervisory responsibility and will be supported by a team of 5 Country Solution Sales Managers (CSS) and Global Solution Sales Managers (GSS) based in Gurgaon. Maintaining customer relationships across diverse functions like Accounts, Treasury, Marketing, Purchase, IT & HR Handling a set of 350+ active customer accounts and ensuring a 10% growth in revenue baseline.

Major Challenges:
Manage customer expectation with the existing resource base. To ensure customer confidence despite instances of non or error-prone delivery due to resource capacity constraints both in terms of people as well as system.
Increasing customer volumes/revenues in a fiercely competitive and dynamic environment.
Developing personal rapport with customers. As a result, become the first point of escalation on any issue.
Knowledge depth within the cash and trade organization, for value-adding beyond one’s normal scope of activities on an ongoing basis.
Promote team involvement in Process and Change Management within the myriad of existing regulatory constraints.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred

Education:
MBA or CA

Experience:
Minimum 10 years relevant experience in the field of transaction banking or relationship management in cash and trade

Skills:
Ability to quickly understand cash and trade product propositions, business drivers, policies, customer needs and market and competition
Selling, Interpersonal and Communication skills for effective, quicker and superior presentations, pitches and conversions
Demonstrate thought leadership. Ability to create longer term, content trust and advisory based relationships will all the customers in the portfolio
Managing effectively, the success transfers from TTS regional cash and trade sales teams.
Work with industry focused teams in the region and globe, leverage their relationships with RTCs and HQs to drive growth of multinationals
Work with the network teams for outbound flows of going global clients to key geographies such as US, WE, Latam, Africa
Leverage the power of the network for peer benchmarking, treasury advisory, data analytics and connectivity solutions
Analytical skills - to evaluate various alternative solutions to customer needs.
Accounting background with good aptitude.
In-depth knowledge of regulations, market practices and bank operations
Innate leadership ability to galvanise resources across units
People with relevant Banking / Finance / Client Service or relationship management
Ability to work with broad group of stakeholders
