WHAT YOU'LL DO
This role is a new and exciting team leadership role managing and executing operations related to Category Strategy and Planning within the global Procurement Service Center (PSC) located in India. You will report to the PSC Operations Excellence Manager. You will oversee a team of operations analysts and will be responsible for helping to build a truly world class Procurement function. You will be supported by best-in-class processes, tools, systems, and training. You will lead efforts on a global basis interacting with multiple geographies and work cultures.
Direct ownership of key and critical Procurement Analytics operations, including regular production of various reports and dashboards spanning across spend, risk and savings and overall Procurement process and system enhancements.
Lead oversight and delivery of weekly/monthly reports and dashboard– which includes spend, risk and savings apart from other operational metrics.
Drive thought leadership and best practice on master data engineering/management which includes data integrity, data cleaning and data management – working in collaboration with Data Management and other subject matter experts.
Apply techniques such as data mapping, benchmarking, trend analysis and charting to provide observations, and actionable insight.
Lead a team to become a high performing Analytics hub and ensure that resources are effectively and efficiently managed.
Act as a thought partner and provide problem solving and data expertise insights, guide teams to avoid pitfalls and hurdles.
Collaborate with wider procurement team members to write prioritized business requirements/stakeholder reports, documentation, including scope definition and statement of work as well as information needs from wider teams.
Oversee strategic and tactical business and organizational planning, influencing confidently across functions and geographies to drive changes and embed process improvement.
Work with wider procurement team members on data setup, exploratory analysis at scale, implementation and stakeholder enablement through proof-of-concepts and trainings
Handle demanding internal and external stakeholder in a positive, service-oriented way, building a solid, mutually respectful relationship.
Supervise staff for the CSP team to include hiring, training, evaluating performance, side-by-side coaching, providing compensation recommendations, and determining disciplinary actions when necessary.
Identify process improvement opportunities, develop and implement necessary solutions working in partnership with process engineers – applying Agile, Lean and automation/Robotic Process Automation where feasible.
YOU'RE GOOD AT
Extremely proactive, anticipating needs of Global Procurement Organization
Strong verbal and written skills in English, and Hindi.
Highly self-motivated with the ability to drive change in a global organization with minimum supervision
Exceptional interpersonal skills and high level of comfort/ease interacting with all levels of the organization, including senior management
Demonstrate the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment, which often requires the ability to mmanage multiple projects, solve problems and think strategically/critically
Strong team management and organization management skills
Be proactive and have a comfort level with working in an often-ambiguous environment, anticipating needs and staying ahead of them
Extremely organized with attention to detail
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
Bachelor’s degree related to data science, mathematics, economics, business, supply Chain or Engineering. MBA preferred
6-8+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement operations, procurement consulting, or business systems with 4-5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting and management.
In-depth knowledge and experience of strategic sourcing processes, organization, and technologies required
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant IT systems including ERP, Spend Analysis, Purchase-to-pay tools and Contract Management. (e.g. Ariba, Emptoris, Oracle, Coupa etc.)
Strong Excel and database manipulation skills, financial and statistical analysis skills
Advance expertise in Excel and PowerPoint for charting and ideally infographics
Strong Experience with Alteryx/Tableau and other analytics tools (power BI etc.)
