Smart Joules has executed deep energy retrofits in Hospital buildings throughout India and
is now managing these sites under long term pay-as-you-save contracts with the help of our
DeJouleTM technology, which is designed on the latest IOT and web technologies to
continuously identify and correct for hidden inefficiencies in dynamic energy systems such
as central air conditioning. A site energy manager is placed at each of these sites to ensure
that energy is continuously optimized, Smart Joules’ assets (chillers, pumps, heat pumps,
VFDs, BMS, etc.) are maintained as per our industry-leading practices, and our clients have a
seamless and delightful experience interacting with our team.
We are looking for an experienced Country Head – Maintenance to take ownership of all
maintenance related aspects, enabling the company to grow stronger and faster. The work
requires that you genuinely enjoy working on collaborative teams, and want to be involved
in addressing large-scale challenges that require long-term effort.

Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities: * Review, improve and manage Smart Joules’ client onboarding process with respect to DeJoule. * Prepare and execute training programs on DeJoule at our client sites. * Understand key stakeholders at our client sites and build relationships with them. * Generate user profiles for individuals in our client sites who will be given access to DeJoule, including careful delineation of the level of functionality to be handed over to each individual. * Systematically collect feedback from clients on DeJoule, including through scheduled meetings. Record and analyze the feedback, and generate and share ideas for Page 2 of 4 improvement of DeJoule through participation in the feature request and scrum processes. * Identify and record issues and limitations that clients face while using DeJoule, diagnose the problem, work diligently with product development and other Smart Joules team to devise quick and sustainable solutions, constantly communicate with clients on progress made, and drive the solution through to implementation and feedback collection from client. * Improve Smart Joules’ documents and videos and maintain a comprehensive library of FAQs and training materials relevant to DeJoule. * Analyze the nature and level of utilization of DeJoule by our clients through the User Roles feature; brainstorm and implement methods to increase the same. * Curate and maintain on a weekly basis a comprehensive and prioritized list of snags related to DeJoule at each of our client sites. * Coordinate with Deployment, Project Development, Site Energy Managers and others in Smart Joules to ensure the snags are resolved in a reliable and timesensitive manner. * Build and manage the overall Client Relations team, including identification and development of critical talent needed in the team, and ensuring adherence to Smart Joules’ Core Values and company policies. * Help business development team up-sell or cross-sell services and products. * Study competition to find new ways to retain customers. * Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. Product development, Engineers, Top management) to address customers’ needs and continuously improve Smart Joules’ overall offerings.
Qualifications and Skills
Skills and Qualifications: * Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering (electrical / electronic / mechanical) or mechatronics from a Top Institution with no desire for further education. * 4+ years of experience in a sales, client relations, customer support, technical support, or similar function. * Good working knowledge of instrumentation and IOT technologies.
