Who you are: Do you relish the art and science of making web pages rank high in search engines. Do you have a passion for making the search experience simple and effective for users? Spiceworks Ziff Davis is looking for a seasoned SEO Manager that can drive growth initiatives for our editorial and community content. You’ll lead the charge to define, evaluate, and prioritize projects that will ensure the valuable content is visible to IT pros and decision makers around the world. You’ll work closely with development, UX, product owners, and editorial content writers to bring your projects to production. You’ll focus on SEO optimization and ROI maximization.
What will be your responsibilities?
Analyze editorial content performance, competitive performance and keyword plans to identify issues and opportunities for SEO
Analyze website architecture, content, linking and other factors to identify issues and opportunities for SEO
Recommend SEO best practices about website architecture, UI/UX, content coverage, linking, and other factors
Leverage tools to monitor and improve SEO metrics such as crawl rate, indexation, and SERP rankings for relevant keywords. Monitor redirects, click rate, bounce rate, and other KPIs
Create and distribute regular reporting for key stakeholders on SEO metrics and impact of optimizations
Coordinate outreach activities with other stakeholders in the organization to drive placements from sites with authority
Develop content marketing and link building strategies to improve brand and site authority
Stay up to date on SEO and digital marketing trends
What does it take to do this job?
5+ years designing, implementing, and tracking the results of SEO projects Strong technical knowledge of SEO and a technical background
Experience identifying key audience personas and targeting those audiences
Experience working with large editorial and user generated content sites preferred
Experience with managing Google Analytics, Google & Bing WebMaster tools.
Experience working with developers, product owners and editorial teams to get SEO recommendations implemented
A strong understanding of all SEO best practices such as user content optimization, meta-data optimization, SEO-friendly site architecture
Able to thrive in a fast paced team environment, managing multiple conflicting priorities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
