Role & Responsibilities
Receive & understand the briefs from the Client Service person.
Propose executable, innovative ideas & explore new technology for events.
Work on effective and feasible costings and layouts as per the brief & elements of the design.
Planning, developing & managing of clients projects – typically several at once. In charge of determining a project’s schedule, scope & budget, and directing appropriate team members in fulfilling the specifications to meet client & company objectives.
Vendor Management: Sourcing vendors; maintaining a vendor database; finalizing the cost of materials & resources with the vendors; co-ordination on material delivery on time.
Execution of the Event- conduct a recce when required; effective planning, thinking on the event; oversee the event set up; ensure that on site quality is delivered as promised by Client Service.
Arrangement of advances through the Commercial department for payment to vendors, agencies, etc.
Negotiating with vendors, other agencies on cost reduction and availability of resources prior to the event.
Arrangement of payments to vendors, other agencies after the event.
Taking the initiative to close all costs and the payment advice at the end of the event.
Team Management: allocation of briefs; planning of internal resources for the event; supervision of team’s work to ensure that client briefs are adhered to & closed; guide team members & step in on any escalations; assigning KRAs & making sure team member understand the job description well; identifying training & development needs of the team & ensuring same is met in co ordination with HR.
Staying updated on the latest practices in the Events industry & implementing the latest technologies.
Good understanding of materials, fabrication knowledge, fair knowledge of the market & Cost.
Strong hold over vendor management at pan India.
High market knowledge.
Knowledge about new technologies in Market.
Software Skills- MS Office, AutoCAD.
Ability to work long hours & multitask.
Leadership skills; Ability to communicate and work in a team environment.
