As the Operational Excellence Partner you will be part of ensuring the smooth running of the recruitment team and driving our role as a control function and reducing the bank’s exposure to operational risks.

You will report into the Operational Excellence Lead based in Singapore and be part of a global operational excellence team.

Partnering with the global and cross-regional operational excellence teams to develop standards for risk management in ECR and maintain appropriate documentation, toolkits, and checklists for the team in line with the bank’s operational risk policies
Working with the global operational excellence team to design, implement and run an effective governance structure
Providing advice and direction on the operational impact of legislation
Performing ops risk identification and assessment across the region; running regular audits and spot checks on control points
Implementing strategic plan to prevent, eliminate and mitigate operational risks, ie handle communications and training to the regional ECR team, including the ops risk training calendar & materials; regular distribution of the ECR ops risk newsletter and focus on ensuring the Conduct & Ethics standards are embedded in our daily behavior
Collaborating with cross-regional peers to design and implement the Ops Risk training calendar including content and delivery
Coordinating with senior management in performing ops risk reviews; tracking and monitoring risk issues. Reporting issues and decisions to management team and as required to Policy Risk & Control and other internal policies in line with policy requirements
Actively identify and evaluate risk areas across the regional ECR operational activities through regular audits and reviews
Analyzing operational breaks to identify root cause, develop solutions and detail lessons learnt to be used in developing recommendations for risk mitigation
Developing positive relationships with key stakeholders and business partners including Policy Risk & Control, Employment Law, Compliance Background Screening, International Assignment Management, HR Service Center
Act as Onboarding and Recruitment subject matter expert to ensure:
Thorough understanding of Recruiting activities like Sourcing, Screening & Selection, Offer Management & Onboarding
Well versed with Regulatory Procedures and Policies like Data Consent & Data Protection, Nepotism, Work Permits and Visa, Employee Referrals, etc.
Understanding of Applicant Tracking Systems and related integrations, workflows and downstream effects
Ability to identify improvement opportunities by reducing manual efforts, engaging technology to replace redundancy & drive change agenda for the function.
Providing creative solutions suitable to Recruiters and the business while remaining complaint and maintaining low risk quotient for recruiting function as well as the bank.
Manage governance of Recruiting content with HR Service Center like SOPs, Process Maps, Training Documents, Policy Documents, Email & Letter templates.

Preferably a bachelor’s degree holder or equivalent
