Within the Global Cash Products (GCP) business, Settlement is a critical function. It consists of products such as OTC, Foreign Exchange, and Money Market. A typical day would be verifying trade economics from Front office system, confirmation/pre-matching, settlement of trades & break resolution. This function requires individual to work in an environment with strict currency deadlines to ensure seamless settlement. Working in a controlled environment, strict adherence to control checklist, escalation matrix etc. is expected.
You are expected to work in tandem with Front Office/Middle Office & Internal-External stakeholders. Any issues and process failures will be require reporting and remediation. The individual is required to be sufficiently trained/cross-trained and should be the SME of the business. This will support the function to manage business during any unforeseen situations. You are also expected to utilize your skills to lead changes by partnering with other teams to execute new business initiatives.
This role is an ENO position in Pune (India) within GCP (Global Cash Products) Settlement Team.
You should express a desire to work in any shift and should have strong knowledge in OTC, FX, and Money Market. You should have a control and risk mindset and should have minimum 0-9 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking.
Primary Responsibilities for the role would include but are not limited to the below:
Contact point for managers, internal and external clients
Handholding queries from Front Office/Middle Office/Internal-External business partners
Communicate and build partnership with External Clients - fundamental part of the role
Execute day to day processing e.g. Pre-matching, Fails, Confirmation, Settlements, Break Resolution etc.
Persists and continues to strive for a goal despite obstacles and setbacks (meeting deadlines)
Execute controls on the day to day processing
Execute strategic and tactical solutions, inclusive of standardization of processes, UAT testing etc.
Raising critical issues/ aged breaks on time
Participate actively in cross trainings, BCP testing and Business Initiatives
Identify operational improvements to build efficiency
You have an investment banking experience in either products such as OTC, FX, Money Market, Securities, Asset Servicing, and Listed Derivatives
You hold a degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
Attention to detail, pro-activeness, good communication skills – both verbal and written, client & control-focused approach, positive attitude.
To have effective problem solving and analytical skills.
An ability to multitask, prioritize, meet strict deadlines and work under pressure
You are ambitious and can work on own initiative and deliver on time whilst also being a good teammate
Ability to build strong working relationships across departments to provide a quality customer service daily
