The Financial Control Group (FCG) is responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial and regulatory reporting for the Firm. FCG prepares external financial reports for public filings and regulators. For internal reporting FCG, along with Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA), summarizes, plans and forecasts the organization?s financial position, including income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future revenues, expenses and earnings. FCG is comprised of Business Unit Controllers, Infrastructure Controllers, Accounting, Regulatory and Reporting groups, and Valuation Review
Morgan Stanley seeks a full time Director level professional to join its Integrated Services, Regulatory Analytics team team in Mumbai.
Key responsibilities of the Regulatory Analytics team are:
a) Monitor daily feed delivery for capital, balance sheet, and liquidity calculations and reporting and conduct data completeness / population checks
b) Maintain and provide governance over GL structure data, ensuring appropriate change management controls
c) Oversee and perform data accuracy checks for data attributes and enrichment processes
d) Oversee and perform data profiling and identify data quality issues
e) Apply various controls to monitor and report on risk variances. Inform users / escalate issues of critical data quality issues that may impact global calculations and reporting
f) Review-Beginning of Day analytics to verify accuracy of financial reporting movements and liaise with key stakeholders to substantiate movements where applicable
g) Oversee collation and distribution of data to global calculation and reporting team
h) Produce data quality metrics for IT, Senior Management, and key stakeholder to monitor / measure progress and prioritize the data management agenda Support tactical and strategic data issue resolution
i) Conduct ad-hoc data analysis for stakeholders
In addition, this individual will be responsible for maintaining key internal stakeholder relationships including Product Controllers, Operations, Technology & Liquidity Reporting teams.
The role will also require participation in the development of the Regulatory Analytics function in Mumbai, involving:
? Re-engineering and standardization of processes as required
Ongoing functional initiatives and projects as well as regional / global projects / initiatives.
? Contributing to the reporting control framework, ensuring compliance to client requirements and internal policies
? Management and development of staff within the Mumbai team.

Financial Services experience and / or relevant academic / professional degree would bean added advantage.
