This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial/Account Manager to join our team to develop and manage the sales and profitability of a portfolio of customer accounts. You will be responsible for both brand and private label business development within the customer base.
You will take responsibility for managing existing business and look for opportunities to develop sales growth within your designated product category. Through effective market analysis you will present new growth opportunities while defending the existing business. Working with the NPD and Marketing teams you will help them understand the customers' needs and what new food products the market is missing. With a proven track record in account management within the foodservice sector, you will be result-focused with excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to build strong relationships with customers.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers
Work closely with NPD team to support delivery of new products
Share and understand data with the marketing team
Take responsibility for day to day Account Management activities such as customer queries, customer unit visits, hitting customer service levels.
Deliver annual sales plans
Work with customer to plan improvements, new developments, etc.
Conduct seasonal reviews to aide planning
The ideal person for this role will have a background in the food industry within a sales environment, have excellent analytical and communication skills and be adept in developing strong customer relationships. Experience within the non-vegetarian category (chicken/seafood) would be advantageous but other food product experience can be considered.
