As a Project Engineer, Paper Machine Drives – Pulp & Paper you will be part of India Operations center – Industrial Automation (INOPC IA) and will be based in Bangalore.
You will be reporting to Operations manager and Technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments classified as low engineering
complexity. Ensure that activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project
are efficiently and cost-effectively executed in accordance with contract specifications,
quality standards and safety requirements.
Verifying the Low voltage drives / motors as per the customer’s load list or Motor & Component list.
Preparing, studying and analyzing existing system and execute revamp solutions.
Preparing of list of documents and deliverables.
Understanding requirements of sub-system and coordinating with other engineering departments in getting it delivered as per application requirement.
Preparing the technical specifications.
Preparing/approval of basic engineering drawings like SLD, GA, IGA, fabrication drawings etc., in case of building stand-alone drive panels (especially for cranes).
Performing technical review (along with the lead) before document submission to ensure that delivered documents are as per the customer technical specification.
Ability to identify technical risk and escalate to team lead on time.
Working with team lead to mitigate technical project risks and execute without project delay.
Working with cross function/ LBU teams to achieve customer acceptance.
Work with consultants and ensure timely approval of project drawings.
Preparing application software and necessary graphics and factory acceptance test.
Delivering as-built and as commissioned documents.
Ensuring the quality of engineering deliverable.
Must express a high level of detail and accountability of completed work.

Minimum B.Tech/ B.E/ Diploma from a reputed University with First Class in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics engineering.
4-6 years of relevant work experience in drives solutions by similar suppliers or Paper Industry.
Good oral and written communication skills in English.
Technical knowledge of AC/ DC Drives (Converters/ Inverters).
Knowledge of AC/ DC motors.
Knowledge of DCS/ PLC HW/SW Components.
Knowledge of IT/ Network/ Peripherals like UPS, Printer, PC’s, Server components of DCS.
knowledge in application programming & HMI development/ modifications for PLC/ DCS systems.
Knowledge on different communication protocols used between PLC & Drives or in automation.
Knowledge on drive tuning.
