Reporting to the Vice President - Multisource Products & Analytics, the Vice President of Specialty Provider Inside Sales will be responsible for managing team resources and collaborating with other McKesson business units and strategic business partners. This role will work collaboratively with the VP of Sales (Multispecialty), AVP(s) of Sales (Oncology), Manager of Business Intelligence for generic campaigns Multisource Products and VP of Sales (intraFUSION) to identify and prioritize opportunities to support the customer, protect and grow existing business, and capture new revenues.
This role leads a team of customer success managers, account managers and business development managers.
Serve as the leader representing Inside Sales functions to other areas of PSaS and McKesson. Work across these segments to drive shared business objectives and identify new opportunities. Cascade objectives to all team members. Ensure objective achievement.
Work collaboratively with the Oncology and Multispecialty sales teams to maximize the effectiveness of Inside Sales, align with shared sales objectives, and identify new revenue opportunities.
Lead and manage the Inside Sales organization in the achievement of established goals, KPIs, and SLAs while operating in the established budgetary and business guidelines.
Develop team members. Provide training and coaching to team to foster performance excellence. Administer the McKesson performance review process, annual MBO’s and Individual development plans. Conduct one on one meetings, team staff meetings, and other meetings to ensure all team members achieve their objectives. Recruit, train, retain & develop a high performing team.
Serve on cross-functional leadership teams, providing guidance on market activities, market conditions, and overall strategy relating to the activities of Inside Sales.
10+ years of Sales Leadership experience in Healthcare and 4+ years of management experience.
5 years of experience with a proven track record in sales leadership role(s) managing profitability, business analysis, and strategy development in management consulting, technology, or consumer-packaged goods environment.
5 years of experience serving a therapeutic specialty with a high degree of demand for specialty pharmaceutical products and services
Experience in and demonstrated understanding of healthcare and distribution, GPO, Physician practices/groups focused on specialty care (i.e. Oncology, Rheumatology, Ophthalmology, ect), industry trends, EHRs, inventory management technologies, billing and coding, private and public reimbursement models and payer contracting
Strategic thinking and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to synthesize facts and insights into concrete, actionable recommendations
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Experience in call center management and/or Inside Sales teams with proven methodology for motivating sales teams preferred
Sales campaign structure, development, and execution preferred
Project and program management preferred
Experience as an individual sales contributor in oncology or rheumatology preferred
Experience navigating matrixed organizations
Salesforce, SAP/BW, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint
4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experience
MBA preferred but is not required
