You will have the opportunity to work with internal stakeholders including the Human Resources business partners and HR specialists, Compliance, Legal, Employment Law, General Counsel, Security Services, Sourcing and Vendor Management and Line Management.
You will have to be successful in a challenging role, while handling the most complex and high profile grievance and disciplinary cases primarily in India, taking into account legal obligations, regulatory expectations and the bank’s risk appetite and ensuring effective risk management at all times.
You will possess the ability to act as a Disciplinary or Grievance Decision Manager: applying extensive employee relations/employment law experience and knowledge to lead cases quickly, effectively and professionally, ensuring that the risk to the bank is mitigated and that decisions reached are fair, consistent and in line with legal obligations and regulatory expectations.
You will also be responsible for accomplishing the right outcomes by collaborating with internal stakeholders including the HR business partners and Compliance, Legal, Employment Law.
You have the opportunity to support the Head of Employee Relations in influencing and driving the direction of the strategy across the APAC region.
You will be representing the team on ad-hoc APAC and/or global projects and tasks as directed by the Head of ER, e.g. development of Employee Relations related e-learning initiatives.

You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related disciplines.
You have extensive experience as an ER Specialist, ideally obtained within a demanding financial services environment.
You possess excellent knowledge of the Indian employment law and regulatory frameworks (exposure to, and a full appreciation of, the regulatory environment and the regulator’s expectations in the context of employee conduct / disciplinary matters is essential).
You have prior experience with a wide variety of complex first and second stage grievances and disciplinarians.
You hold experience working within a complex, dynamic and challenging business environment.
You are able to partner effectively with key internal business partners including senior business managers.
You possess the confidence, gravitas and credibility in addition to having a robust and resilient personality.
