Global Research comprises a team of analysts who have coverage of equity stocks across a range of sectors. Research forms the advisory part of the Equities business at HSBC where the analysts extensively research, analyze and communicate their analysis and views to global institutional equity fund managers.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the NBFC and Auto Auxiliaries sector team.
Principal Responsibilities
Contribute towards building a solid franchise predominantly in the NBFC & Auto A sub-segment.
Build and maintain earnings models, write differentiated research reports as well as maintenance reports and develop constructive relationships with the Firm’s clients by transforming the research product into a commercial one.
Contribute to a healthy culture of collaboration with the team in addressing topics of joint interest with other sector analysts
Contribute to corporate access efforts by developing relationships with corporates and hosting them for roadshows and other events domestically and internationally.
Requirements
Post Graduate Degree in Finance or a Chartered Accountant will be preferred.
Very good analytical and writing skills.
Strong background in financial markets, Equity strategy and macroeconomics.
5+ years of working experience in financial modeling/ valuations, industry research/equity strategy domain.
Excellent IT and excel skills related to data manipulation and interpretation, excellent knowledge of VBA
Hands on experience with external research databases such as Bloomberg, Datastream, MSCI, IBES and CEIC to obtain key financial data such as market performance, valuations and earnings estimates, company financials, as well as economic data, and global financial news and events.
Ability to execute work in tight timelines and stretch as required
Additional Information
Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.
