Job Role & Responsibilities
Leading, guiding, directing, and evaluating the work of other executive leaders including assistant vice presidents and managers.
Formulating and implementing the strategic plan that guides the direction of the business or their area of responsibility.
Develops and directs the planning, implementing, and growth of sales programs to assure profitable operation of an integrated bundle of all products and services to maximize sales and profits.
Extensive portfolio knowledge including analysis and evaluation of potential new product opportunities from various perspectives to include science, financial, IP, technical, R&D and manufacturing.
Establishes the long-range plans and sales goals and objectives with primary focus on attainment of gross profit and income budget and new business strategies.
Identifies and develops potential business opportunities in order to meet sales goals and to achieve superior long term financial goals while maximizing client and patient value and satisfaction.
Works with Business Unit leadership to direct the research of potential new markets for pharmaceutical sales. Supports business unit and sales management in the execution of strategy for specific opportunities and presentations to potential clients.
Develops and oversees department budgets and is accountable for reviewing and managing department expenses in alignment with budget.
Provides direction to the sales team on expense budget and control, monitoring on a regular basis to ensure activities are in accordance with corporate policy and guidelines.
Responsible for the hiring, training, developing, and directing of entire Sales team.
Integrates the sales team through proper hiring and placement, scheduling of work, assignment of responsibility, and delegation of authority.
Should be self motivated and have zeal to take the company to new heights.
Actively involve in business planning and monitoring performance.
Planning, Execution & Monitoring existing & new product launches all India.
Actively involve in forecasting company sales.
Identify and develop new streams for long-term revenue growth and maintaining relationships with customers to achieve consistent business.
Conduct competitor analysis by keeping abreast of market trends and competitor moves to achieve higher market share.
Lead, train and motivate teams ensuring positive contribution to the company Man Management.
Co-ordinate recruitment & selection activities for the team
Develop marketing strategies and drive sales volumes through prescription generation.
Evaluate marketing budgets periodically including manpower-planning initiatives and ensure adherence to planned expenses.
Provide direction to team members to execute promotion/launches in sync with Divisional Priorities.
Monitor and keep collections under control, and ensure timely recovery of outstanding.
The ideal candidate should be result oriented individual with demonstrated capability of achieving continual success, having zeal and enthusiasm and commitment with a strong conceptualizing and business development skills in pharma products, at National/ International Level.
Should have good communication skills and pleasing personality.
Person with creativity, initiative and drive to be successful in new product area.
Effective presentation, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Should have more than 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing.
