JOB TITLE : STORE MANAGER
Job Description Is responsible for over all store operations. An average store has approximately 150 staff with floor area of approx 20,000 square feet and having approximately 10,000 SKUs. Is responsible for store opening/closing based on the shift. Conduct Daily briefing for SA along with floor officer & managers and for cashier, packers along with cash officer. Review the daily manpower availability and accordingly allocate staff & promoters to ensure smooth functioning of store. Authorise the daily attendance of staff. Develope a strategy for implementation of manpower plan also make suggestions if the current manpower plan is to be revised. Coordinate with 3P vendors, purchase to ensure adequate staffing. Conduct recruitment of Sales Associates, packer, cashiers in consultation with area manager and housekeep & security staff with the support of HR officer. Ensure systems & process for timely induction of new joiness (SAs, cashier, packers). Conduct On the Job Training for new joiness (floor officers, Department managers, Assistant store manager). Interact & engage regularly with staff & team members, coach & guide them to maintain high motivation levels and heathy work environment & culture. Conduct monthly reviews for officers, managers and share Feedback, prepare development action plan. Identify potential candiates for promotion & progression. Ensure performance standard, discipline & grooming standards are maintained. Analyse and study report of Top selling SKU's and conduct floor walk with purchase to ensure availability, visibility of products, ensure Hygiene, FIFO, timely refilling, proper display & correct price boards. Conduct weekly meetings and weekly briefing for security staff, housekeeping staff and promoters. Release Vendor payment, petty cash authorisation, make request for asset purchase/transfer. Develop action plan for improving the contribution of non core & grocery sales to the store sale. Coordinate with vendors for preventive maintenance, escalation of issues with maintenance team & help desk and get them resolved. Conduct Dry Run (for critical equipment) every month with the maintenance team, identify challenges and get the same rectified. Supervise daily Perpetual Inventory and 10 item stock take, do root cause analysis and identify problems, suggest measure to reduce pilferage. Design startegy for pilferage control on basis of stock take analysis, study pilferage patterns (customer, staff, vendor, department, product, company) and develop action plan & implement the same with the help of store team. Ensure adherence to processes accross departments. Monitor daily cash handover to bank and follow strong room process at opening, closing. Check the SRT register and ensure process is followed. Study & analyse the products returned to understand the customer concern and share the same with category, communicate with store team to develope action plan to provide enhanced customer experience. Handle, verify & followup on customer complaints, suggestions and queries. Supervise availability of Trollies, Baskets & bags for customer convenience and keep track of the trolly count on daily basis. Ensure their timely Repair, maintenance and acquistion for smooth functioning of store. Discuss with the process auditor the audit report and share his/her view point & rational, study the process audit report and design & develop action plan and set systems & processes to execute the same to plug the gaps. Check the Daily Task Book and ensure its implementaiton. Prepare an end to end plan with timelines for stock take, coordinate with various functions, delegate task, monitor & followup to enable smooth stock take. Coordinate with other stores to arrange for additional manpower for stock take. Analyse the stock take report and design action plan to mitigate the concern areas. Lead the Emergency Response Team, organise the Fire Mock Drill (safety day) every month, conduct training for the store team on fire safety. Conduct property walk to identify maintenance & safety issues and coordinate with concerned functions to resolve the same. Conduct floor walk to ensure freshness, availability & visibility of Top Selling, Focus SKUs in non core, coordinate with category & execution for identifying slow/non moving SKUs, implement mark down, partial mark down, write off. Develop a Back Up plans in case of emergencies like power failure, UPS, DG set failure, LAN, EDC machine not working, mob control etc. Study, analyse footfall patterns during weekdays, weekends, festivals & holidays. Prepare bench strength of staff who can manage cash counter during contingencies. Do a dynamic cash counter opening based on footfalls thus ensure quick check out during peak hours. Ensure proper Parking management and handle any issues realated to it. Develop a positive image of the store in the vicinity by building rapport & good relationship with the developer, neighbouring socities, local authorities. Plan for festivals & season by analysing manpower requirement, stock planning, displays, coordination with different functions & vendors. Check the preparedness of various departments like warehouse, floor, GRN, purchase, cash, maintenance to hand the festival & season requirement. Identify & discuss opportunities for better space management in consultation with category, AM. Interacting with government official during their visit to the store and coordinating with relevant departments, functions to ensure smooth functioning of store. In case of New Store Opening coordinate with various function for category plan, layout plan, manpower planning & recruitment, sharing the snag list (various functions).

Takes additional responsibilites voluntarily. Is confident liasoning with govt officials etc. Is Excellent in coordination with various fuctions & departments. Is outgoing and approaches people on own to find solutions to business challenges. Is passionate about his work and demonstrates high commitment & energy consistently.
External candidate - minimum 12th pass, in a supervisory/ managerial role with FMCG / Retail / Hospitality / Manufacturing sector with team handling experience of minimum 12-15 years - to be considered for S3, S4 Grade
Mimimum Graduate in managerial/ senior managerial role with FMCG / Retail / Hospitality / Manufacturing sector with team handling experience of minimum 10-12 years - to be considered for M1, M2 Grade
