The Flow Power and Energy business of SPX Flow is into the manufacturing and supply of Pumps, Valves, Filters, and closures for the oil and gas industry. The incumbent will be based at our Bangalore office and will work as a member of the FLOW Power and Energy legal department to support the global contract review, drafting and negotiating needs of the company. The incumbent will be part of a global legal team that will fully support the commercial needs of FLOW Power and Energy, with a focus on contract review and negotiation. This position reports into the Legal Counsel of India.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works closely with Legal team members and commercial, engineering, operational and leadership teams on drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts, including customer, vendor and non-disclosure agreements.
The emphasis for this role is the review, redlining and negotiation of customer contracts.
Assess, draft, and negotiate contractual terms and conditions with both customers and suppliers.
Partner with the sales and procurement teams with respect to commercial transactions and assist with customer-facing negotiations.
Determine appropriate contractual mechanisms for security for payments where required, e.g. guarantees from customers and suppliers.
Provide contractual input with respect to internal risk reviews and risk mitigation plans, as well as the signature approval process.
Reduce risk/exposure within the company’s commercial agreements while maintaining good external and internal customer relationships.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Law (LLB) in a regular full-time course from a recognized institute in India.
3 to 6 yrs of progressively more responsible experience with commercial contracts in a corporate environment in Manufacturing/Oil & Gas company or supporting legal firms. Global/APAC level commercial contract experience will be an added advantage.
Working knowledge of laws and regulations impacting the corporation.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing within all levels of the corporation.
Ability to utilize creative problem resolution skills to handle client related problems.
Ability to be forward thinking and handle frequently changing demands.
Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
