Our client, part of a large Indian conglomerate, is a well renowned player in lighting and appliances
Reporting into the R&D Head and managing project managers, your responsibilities would be:
Driving and executing the product realization program spanning across businesses within the organization. Ensuring that the stage gate process is followed to deliver quality product/solution on time and meeting all business goals while maximizing return on investment.
Leading team of project managers who in turn are leading cross-functional project core team. These teams includes all functions delivering to project (e.g. Engineering, marketing, Q&R, operations, customer support, Technical publications, Procurement etc as applicable).
Driving schedule compliance across all functions and ensuring agreed project milestones are secured which includes planning, reporting and monitoring resources of the project.
Facilitating interaction, managing inter-dependencies & conflict resolution among all functional teams, regardless of geographic region.
Communicating project status to R&D Head and Business Heads as required through periodic reports and formal program reviews.
Identifying risks / issues / scope creeps impacting project schedule, quality or cost and mitigate / take corrective action. Highlighting these transparently to the management team.
Managing vendors & interfacing with other programs (delivering or client programs)
Encouraging partnership: Developing cooperative relationships to achieve Project results through a win - win relationship. Having a mission of trending Improvements over time.
Facilitating / Implementing / Contributing Organization wide Project Management Improvement Initiatives
Supporting team building: Building mutual trust and encouraging respect and cooperation among Cross Functional project Core teams. Finalizing overall project planning, scope & execution strategy
Driving on time, on cost, and good quality and other project deliverables as per agreed plan. Managing all PDLM activities and milestones (from Concept , Project Initiation to Project Closure). Collaborating with teams on cross-functional delivery plans and any changes within.
The Successful Applicant
Ideally you are a PMP certified Engineer with a total work experience of at least 10+ years and 3+ years of experience managing multiple projects as a program manager. You should possess good communication skills, interpersonal skills and leadership skills. You should have an excellent track record in your earlier professional stint and should be ready for the next challenging assignment.
