About the opportunity
Retail Operations is responsible for a broad range of operational processes on behalf of the Global Distribution business. The team controls a series of vital operational functions including the scanning of client documentation, automated and manual dealing, pricing of our onshore, offshore and platform fund ranges, transfers, re-registrations, client account management, retirement and the payment and collection of fees. Operational Delivery Group is responsible for end-to-end delivery of the Change impacting retail Operations.
The Process Lead will be working with Delivery leads and is responsible for the end-to-end processes across channels, across products and by process type. The Process Lead, based in India, work closely with Retail Operations Owners, Technology, and Platform Technical Support Services (PTSS) to ensure all aspects of the process is working as effectively as it can both in terms of the internal Operations, Customer Service & Propositional model and ultimately providing the best possible outcomes and service for our customers. Process Ownership plays a pivotal part within our change agenda and leads all aspects of change for Retail Operations working with our internal partners as listed.
Purpose of your role
The role covers a wide range of responsibilities including understanding of day-to-day processing of instructions relevant for Re-registrations and Transfers process, working within projects for all relevant Technology, Intelligent Automation and Business Process Improvement projects, providing testing and SME support by giving relevant feedback from your areas of responsibility inside and outside of the project, decision making with regards to the change and escalation & reporting to the Delivery Lead & Ownership layer and Senior Management.
Note - The role is for Fixed Term Contract to cover for maternity period for an existing employee.
The successful candidate has to possess strong technical understanding of the processes and technology used with in the retail teams, proven track record in delivering and implementing system changes, proficient with testing strategies like functional, regression and integration system testing, excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to deliver in tight timelines and to adapt to changing circumstances in order to ensure a smooth efficient change agenda. This challenging and hands on role would suit an individual looking for a role that is varied, no two days are the same whilst gaining experience across Retail Operations, PTSS and Technology. It is expected that Process Lead will be able to identify and suggest improvement opportunities to make the process more efficient.
Experience and Qualifications Required
Strong working knowledge of processes and technology used within Retail Operations
Strong knowledge of Re-registrations & Transfers function within Financial Services industry
Strong understanding of Functional Requirements and Design Documents
Preparation and execution of Test Cases, Functional, Integration, and System Testing
Prior experience of managing operational readiness activities i.e. creation of standard operating procedures and training the end-users to implement change
Team player, who could work under minimal supervision or in virtual teams and scrums
Tenacious self-starter with a sense of ownership and accountability with a strong bias towards action and results
Excellent communication skills as well as ability to create and present options in professional, clear, and concise fashion to aid stakeholder engagement, and enable effective decision making
Strong product and proposition knowledge and understanding of the principles of Digital First, Web-based journeys, and State Through Process (STP) automation
Strong quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills
Good organisational skills and attention to detail (e.g. ability to recognise erroneous data within analysis)
Understanding of Agile methodologies and roles
Proficient in the use of Excel, JIRA, and Confluence.
