We at Colgate-Palmolive are looking for Assistant Manager – Indirect Procurement to join our team of professionals at our Corporate Office in Mumbai. The person in this role reports to the Indirect Procurement Manager.
The purpose of the job is to involve with stake-holder/user department to comprehend complete requirements of categories/sub-categories handled like Commercial Print, POP/POS, Consumer Promotion & Events etc. by sourcing competitive option of vendor/supplier, coordinate and monitor supply of goods or/& Services to meet the required schedules ensuring receipt of required quality, correct quantity at optimal costs, best-in-class service bringing value-saving & value-adds. This job exists to add value-savings & adding value to Sourcing of Indirect Goods & Services for the above cited categories.

Eg. FTG Goal for 2018 is US$ 3.2 MM for CP-India, part of which will be contributed by this role for the mentioned categories/sub-categories.

Job Context & Challenges:
Developing good quality & options of vendor from different sources like available database, other colleagues, stake-holders, industry & various websites, journals etc.
Analyzing stake-holders’ requirement, using competent options of vendors, usage of sourcing tools like 7-step Sourcing, e-tools like Reverse Auction/eRFQ/eRFI to obtain optimal costs for required quality, quantity as per allocation, packaging and other criteria required.
Conduct Sourcing and decide option of vendor/s for the required product or/and service, follow-up for timely production & delivery within shortest time-frame possible bringing in value-savings & value-adds to achieve IO of FTG & Cost-Avoidance per determined goals for each year.
Identify & resolve problems for product/service delivery. Interface with other departments to drive efficiency.
Early involvement to bring in more efficiency and cost savings.
Overall, the challenge is to manage stakeholders’ requirements to be achieved through best sourcing strategy & obtain required goods/services at optimal costs to derive value-savings & value-adds.
Marketing, Administration for Operating Supplies & Operating Lease Vehicles,
HR, Corporate Communications, IT for consumables & peripherals, Packaging, Planning & Finance.

Sourcing Vendors for handled categories/sub-categories
Identify competent vendors from:
current vendor database
Usage of IP tools
use sourcing tools like:
- 7-step Sourcing
- e-tools like Reverse Auction/eRFQ/eRFI to obtain optimal costs for required quality, quantity as per allocation, packaging and other criteria required
- Conduct Sourcing and decide option of vendor/s for the required product or/and service
- ensure optimal/complete usage of e-BUY
Follow-up for Production, product/service delivery
Follow-up for timely production & delivery within shortest time-frame possible.
Identify & resolve problems for product/service delivery
Interface with other departments to drive efficiency.

Overall – to manage stakeholders’ requirements to achieve through best sourcing strategy
Experience in Supply Chain / Logistics/ Procurement with understanding of product Supply. Good team player and keen learner.
Experience in Sourcing & Negotiations for various categories/sub-categories of Indirect Materials i.e. specifically for Commercial Print, POP/POS, Consumer Promotions, Brand Activations & Events, with basic understanding of Print/fabricated substrates.

Minimum 2 yrs
Professional Qualifications & Training:
Post Graduation/MBA in Materials Management
Other Post-Graduation but with higher experience in relevant areas.
