The Hitachi ABB Power Grids Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 900 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi ABB Power Grid’s units in more than 25 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 60 countries.
Suitable to establish optimized routine maintenance plans.
Assisting in case of trouble shooting by defining further actions until the system is operational.
Root cause analysis related to malfunctions and deliver proposals to avoid further deterioration of equipments.
Familiarity with concepts like TBM, CBM and RCM and readability concept in electrical equipment.
Confident to generate maintenance policies for different vendors and technologies.
Capacity to identify and advise best practices in spare parts management, by implementing optimization strategies.

A bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
7-10 Years experience in maintaining primary equipment in electrical substations.
Preferable experience in large installed base from different vendors and technologies.
Experience in maintaining substations of 33 KV and above.
Hands on experience in routine and preventive maintenance of all primary equipment.
Hands on experience in testing of different primary equipment.
Complete knowledge of OHSAS procedures.
Knowledge on project scheduling and monitoring tools like MS Projects, Primavera etc.
Hands on experience with IED configuration and testing software tools.
