R&D Lab Technician
You have the opportunity to be part of an exciting team and contribute to the design, development and maintenance of Diagnostic Imaging (MRI, CT/AMI, DXR etc.) components and products. In this role of R&D Lab Technician, you are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of R&D Hardware Lab and contribute to the various product development and NPI/LCM activities of the team. This requires broad orientation, conceptual skills and a “can do” mentality, keeping abreast with all trends and advancements in technology and manufacturing
You are a part of R&D Mechatronics Team under Precision Diagnosis business cluster, located at Philips Healthcare Innovation Centre (HIC) Pune. HIC is playing a key role in Philips global strategy for Diagnostic Imaging. You are responsible for:
General maintenance and upkeep of the R&D Hardware Lab, including interfacing with site facilities/maintenance team for ensuring upkeep of all facilities in the lab
Ensuring the proper maintenance, upkeep and documentation for calibration status of all equipment and hand-tools in the lab
Co-ordinate with external agencies to get the calibration of tools done on time, maintain proper records and trigger mechanism for calibration
Support prototypes build and testing for mechanical and electrical subsystems, working along with design engineers
Support the soldering activities involving through-hole and fine pitch electronics components, PCB & electronic cables
Support tasks related to panel assembly/machine assembly and functional testing of systems
Support test fixture development; planning and execution of HALT/HAST etc.
Work with external agencies like UL, TUV and other test houses, for EMC/EMI Testing, Safety Testing, Environment Testing etc.
Support the hardware testing and verification activities
Drawing up personal schedule and reports on progress
Being abreast of technical developments in own field through study of literature and technical contacts
Maintaining product and company reputation by complying with country specific regulations
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
Diploma/ITI in electrical/electronics/mechanical with 10+ years of work experience related field
Prior experience in maintaining R&D labs and supporting engineering teams
Experience in conducting verification and experimental testing at component, subsystem and system level
Experience in handling and working with Hardware Tools and Instruments like DMM, DSO, LCR Meter, DC Regulated Power Supply, Function Generator etc.
Knowledge in accessing Windchill PDM/PLM tools, managing ECO/ECR, creating EBOM etc.
Worked on PCBA Assembling, Board Testing, Soldering and Inspection
Knowledge of Global Medical Quality and Regulatory Standards e.g. IEC, FDA, UL, CE, CSA etc. will be an added advantage
Disciplined team worker, ability to work independently with timely guidance
Result oriented team player
