Sanitree is a social enterprise based in Jaipur and India that makes reusable period pads. We are tackling period poverty and the stigma surrounding menstruation in a holistic way. We have a broad network of like-minded organisations that we work with to fight to end period poverty. The person joining our team will be collaborating with forward-thinking individuals and will have the chance to make a difference in the lives of menstruators all over the world.
Our reusable period pads are made in our Her Shakti Center by our beneficiaries. Our beneficiaries are women from vulnerable backgrounds who are successfully earning a living while also benefiting their community. Your role will be to lead sales within India and internationally, to ensure that the project continues to be financially viable. Sanitree’s income is generated through the sales of its pads to NGOs, philanthropists, retail and individual buyers. This opportunity is ideal for anyone looking to launch a career in business development or fundraising in the social sector.
Role Profile
This role will support Sanitree to increase sales of our menstrual pads, which will have a direct impact on the communities we support, providing menstruators with period dignity for two years per donation.
The Sales Officer will play a critical role in ensuring that the wider team and organisation are aware of new and upcoming partnership opportunities alongside managing effective systems to record, track and analyse organisational funding activity and performance. Within this role, you will also provide coordination and general support to the everyday running of the Her Shakti centre. You will work towards setting and achieving sales targets with the Managing Director.
This is a new role, reporting to the Her Shakti founder and Managing Director of Sanitree, which will support the financial sustainability of our social project. We are looking for someone who is a confident networker, who is at ease engaging with external stakeholders: corporates, NGOs and government officials. This role involves managing a mix of both wholesale and retail sales. So you will need to be able to communicate with a range of distribution partners. We welcome applications from students and early career professionals and particularly encourage applications from people who have lived experience of period poverty, vulnerable people and people from all faith backgrounds.
