Venture Capital Analyst

Job Description

To be responsible for sourcing, executing, and working on due diligence of venture capital transactions to build a portfolio
To identify investment opportunities as well as provide operational support to the portfolio companies
To identify the potential clients and build a steady pipeline of new prospects with proactive strategies
To identify any new investment opportunities based on market and competitor analysis
To source new early stage investments, including meeting founders and entrepreneurs
To source investment opportunities, both directly and through a network of contacts at universities, VCs, incubators, accelerators, etc.
To represent the fund at events and conferences
To hold discussions with the clients, understand the business in detail and prepare financial model and other deal documents of the company
To perform due diligence on potential investments to validate the business opportunity for financial returns
To evaluate long and short term fund requirements of companies
To analyze financial ratios to understand the financial health of the company
To develop and deliver periodic reports for portfolio review of the fund
To actively involved in monitoring portfolio companies, including financial and operating performance, value-adding in portfolio companies, preparation of periodic reports and groundwork for implementing exit strategies

Desired Skills & Experience: The candidate should have:

Proficient in using in any of following or similar tools - Pitchbook, Capital IQ, Thomson Reuters, InsideView, Unomy, ProductHunt
Skilled performer with strong research, problem solving, and time management skills along with the ability to multi task
Able to understand and interpret complex business activities
Advanced MS PowerPoint Skills with emphasis on presentation preparation
Ability to effectively summaries information into clear, concise, and insightful updates

Educational Qualifications:
BE/equivalent in Computer/ IT studies + MBA
Candidates passed out from IIT, IIM or other premier institutes will be preferred
