ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Corporate Accounting Duties complete multiple general ledger reconciliations, journal entry preparation, allocate and distribute intercompany expenses, manage accounts payable, and participate in financial month-end close.
Trust Accounting duties research and make adjustments to GL items, including balance sheet accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable and liability accounts
Completing accounting system transactions, GL review and corrections, financial statement inquiries, data uploads to accounting software, and other support.
Financial statement preparation and documentation, and assist in review and distribution of monthly reports
Preparation of invoices posting, paying and tracking in accounting system, including loss adjustment expenses and vendor remittances
Bank Acct Reconciliations pull bank statements from online bank portal, print and distribute.
Complete premium reconciliations for trust accounts as well as for one corporate entity, including recognizing and recording cash items, as needed.
Review ACH Transfers for accuracy and process payments in online banking portal
Review and log claim account (daily) check runs
Manage daily bank balances
Accounting System Conversion experience
Process stop pays, check inquiries, positive pay and manual check requests
Ensure adequate supply of checks and order/re-order check stock as needed.
Respond to requests for information from internal and external sources
Assists with audit compliance
Establishes and maintains up-to-date and accurate operational manuals/work procedure instructions and reference manuals for the department.
