Design, code, and test major ETL components, as well as working with development teams (external and internal) to define appropriate data models, manage relevant ETL components, enforce data quality control, conduct relevant code reviews, and align on task timelines.
Work with infrastructure teams (external/Cloud and internal) to design and build scalable infrastructure and platform to collect and process very large amounts of data (structured and unstructured)
Facilitate the development of ETL and Data Architecture best practice (e.g. documentation standard), guidelines (e.g. code reuse), strategies and help to promote the viability/usefulness of the solutions.
Candidate Desired skillsets
3 + years of experience in Information Technology domain
4 + years of hands-on experience in Talend/SSIS, Data Modeling, Data Warehousing.
Experience in integrating multiple data sources (e.g. Twitter, Facebook and Sitecatalyst) a big plus.
2 + years of experience in one of the databases i.e. MS SQL/Oracle/MySQL/Redshift/No SQL
Should be excellent in T-SQL coding and performance tuning
Should have thorough understanding of Data Warehousing, Data Marts/ETL conceptS
Experienced in soliciting and documenting business, functional and data requirements, context/variable diagrams, use cases and ETL related diagrams.
Must have the ability to learn any database/ETL/reporting tools, practice and implement at the same time
Should be versatile and quick learner
Must have the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
Ability to communicate and foster positive working relationships with all levels of management and company personnel
Excellent meeting facilitation and training skills.
Ability to work in fast paced environment with proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects and tasks
Ability to make decisions and solve problems, while working under pressure. Work schedule must be flexible, there may be occasions when meeting are scheduled after normal business hours.
