Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
Database & Reporting Analyst
This role combines a strong blend of technical database development and data blending/manipulation skills with a critical lens around how to use these skills to deliver Reporting & Analysis outcomes for the business.
Lead development of customer, campaign and analytical database environments through careful coordination of internal analysts, the IT organization and 3rd party vendors.
Provide support for following key database tasks:
Daily/monthly data feeds across source systems into marketing data repository
Monthly database reporting ensuring database integrity including segmentation/fields/scores, house file hygiene and suppressions
Promo history files; development and maintenance of access to house analytics files;
Manage & maintain best practices around standardization of business rules, and reporting taxonomies
Develop and operationalize all database requirements needed for operational and campaign reporting and advanced analytics
Experience with business intelligence tools like Tableau to deliver standard reporting & self-service decision-support environment. Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations Tableau
Manage & conduct ad-hoc analyses in support of business requests using our Netezza Marketing database
Become a champion within marketing organization in helping implement a data-driven culture focused on continually improving the understanding of the customer.
Collaborate with internal marketing stakeholders to identify business objectives and provide technical & reporting outcomes based on requirements
5+ years experience in Database Development & Reporting & Analysis
Knowledge of B2B Database Marketing, preferably in High Tech/Software industry
Degree in a Quantitative Field (Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering, etc.) SQL Programming Skills (Aginity Workbench on Netezza Database is a plus)
ETL skills in Microsoft SSIS, Informatica
Possesses a strong business acumen, and experience in analytical / problem solving skills
Ability to deploy visualizations data through graphing, charting, etc. (Tableau preferred)Excellent written and verbal communicator able to interface with team manager
Aggressive self-starter, able to rally team support for process and accountability
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while managing to critical deadlines and deliverablesAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsStrong attention to detail, well organized administratively
